Oh no, this is adorable. Since it's a gift Fern is going to put the fern (dubbed Ferny, thank you Maggie Lascivi) on his windowsill next to his and Varian's wellness flowers. He's going to practice the whole nature communication power with it, since talking with one plant isn't overwhelming for him.

[Merry Christmas, Luna! Blodeuwedd will be dropping off a big gift for her! In it is a whole pile of plants, herbs and flowers that he's done his best to pick out as useful for her magic or crafting. Also included is a boline, a knife used for magical and ritual cutting.]

peter is going to get a gift some ways after their first meeting this month, and that’s okay if it’s addressed later! it’s a pack of calming, cinnamon scented incense and a few vials of essential oils. supposed to help in the calming procedure. lastly, a little bracelet made with rope and tied into a unique, intricate knot to fasten the braids that make it.

falco made it himself, and also has one 🙏 there’s a note in between the parcel that thanks peter for being there for him; he hopes to spend more quality time with you!

mom gets one of falco’s prized macaroni art pieces—

no, sadly falco comes from a place where macaroni is rich people food and he would never stick them onto a piece of paper for show, but he will make her this: a charm made by his own hands, with woven strings and a knot he learned from his time as a cadet back home; small, decorative feathers are attached along with a bead of paleblood jewelry. don’t ask him where he got that from. she will lastly also get a small vase-like . . . thing, with small little fingerprints pressed into the edges to try and keep it straight. it’s a little, ah, deformed compared to skilled hands, but the blueberry paint job puts the cherry on top of a child’s endearing handiwork.

he only didn’t have flowers on hand because they were in the middle of winter, but he promises to pick some during spring.

my boy luca is getting two shimmery green-scaled marbles coated with a coldblood enhancement— they can warm your pockets and hands when held (and are also a calming little toy to roll around in your hands if you’re feeling antsy), or if you need a quick getaway, can cause a pretty alarming burst of sparks!

you’ll just have to go back and find them, if that happens, but they’re not hard to miss!

no, there’s no escape, dipper is definitely getting a gift! falco delivers not only a shitton of food (cookies, biscuits, failed loaves meant to look like birds but now look like overgrown bread monsters), but also a special ritual knife made of obsidian and bone. not a weapon, but able to enhance one’s blood magic with incantations engraved in the hilt and blade itself. the energy this thing radiates is palpable!!!

Luz loves that Luca gets into human stuff, so she gets him some of Lysithea's treats, and two other things. One of them is a tapestry for the wall, one she looked at for a very long time before getting so Luca could contemplate what it means for him.

She also gets him a record player! She gets a few albums with several different genres there (your choosing)!

And Luz, who is only starting to learn about Midoriya, is still going to worry about him maybe not being so practical and so has got him winter boots with fleece lining. Very "mom-friend" like, maybe, but she's been seeing the snow come down and worries Midoriya-kun might not have his own!

I rewatched Fern's death for this and now I'm a wreck arrgh

Luz has painted for Luca, and desperately wanted to paint something for Fern, but was not able to think of what exactly she was going to make yet. She thought and thought about this and came up with nothing, until she goes into his memory and sees what will happen to him back in Ooo.

So with that in mind, Luz paints. She paints until the end of December, working on it a little a dat, and I imagine she presents it at the end of the month. You wonder why Luz has sometimes been stuck in her room for an hour at a time? She was working hard on the painting.

It's a painting of Fern as a tree. But instead of just being some quiet tree with a sword, Luz made a bigger, all encompassing picture of Fern as himself, his eyes closed in serenity, cradling the house they lived in. In each section of the house were small pictures of herself, Luca, Ahiru and Varian, but Fern is the focus, he IS the house.

[In a private note, Luz wrote You are more than just a treehouse. You're life incarnate in our home, and you will always be a hero. Always.]

[Korra has been working on using her bending abilities to create...glass. What that means, in practical terms, is a very well-packed box on Luz's doorstep. Inside is a set of four drinking cups, each a different colour of glass, representing the four elements - red for fire, dark blue for water, green for earth, and a light, ethereal blue for air. She has carefully etched their symbols on each.]

[There is also a flat piece with an outline of a stylized owl in vibrant purples, with currents all through the glass.]
