PROMPT 1: MUSHABOOMING

CONTENT WARNINGS: Poisonous mushrooms that induce paralysis and suffocation and violent hallucinations.

Come November, Trench is flourishing with a wide variety of mushrooms. Mushrooms can be found growing in the woods, around your house, and maybe even on your house if you're especially lucky...Or unlucky, depending on the type of mushroom.

The mushroom is considered to be arguably the most important food source in Trench. It's the easiest to find and grow, and one of the easiest to harvest. It's a dependable source of protein and can fill people up. They are filled with vitamins that directly help your blood and heart health and can help keep your digestive system on track. But not everyone is a mushroom farmer and most Trenchies wind up foraging for their own mushrooms. Woven baskets are sold just about everywhere to help forage. Omens are extremely good at scenting out edible mushrooms.

The following edible mushrooms can be found/grown throughout Trench: button, portobello, cremini, oyster, chanterelle, porcini, black trumpets, morels, enoki, shimeji, shiitake, and giant puffballs. If you are extremely lucky, you might even find rare truffles. Truffles can be exchanged for highly valuable goods such as magnificent jewels and specialized weapons. Or you can keep the truffles to yourself and use them in a nice dish.

It is said there are hundreds of unique species of mushrooms to Trench. The following mushrooms are permanent features in Trench and can be found most commonly during Bone Season:

WALKING TERRORS

These parasitic mushrooms seem to "walk" around the forest floor. Arcane scholars have determined that their motion is actually just a natural response to stimuli in the environment and helps the fungi to spread its spores onto living hosts. Once you have been exposed to a cloud of these spores, you will immediately begin to hallucinate the world around you warping into a terrifying hellscape. Some say that Walking Terrors have driven people to beasthood in a matter of minutes. But there is a huge benefit to finding Walking Terrors: their caps, once dried and crushed down, are an ample treatment option for corruption. The tricky part is actually getting them. Covering your entire body, head to toe, completely is one way of avoiding the spores and probably the easiest way. Does anyone have a hazmat suit? Another option is knowing a darkblood or someone with similar abilities who can manipulate the direction of the spores in the air by pushing them away. Once the caps have been removed from the rest of the mushroom, the spores seem to lose their nightmarish quality and, at most, will just make you sneeze.


FLOATERS

These mushrooms come out exclusively at night and float lazily through the air. They bob and bump around, their tentacles searching for something to cling to and settle on. They mostly search for tree branches but have been known to accidentally cling to animals and people. The tentacles paralyze any sentient being it lands on. The good thing is that the cap and the little mushrooms on top are completely harmless to touch so if you have a buddy around, they can pull them off with no problem. You'll regain the ability to move your body a few seconds after the tentacles have been removed. The paralytic quality of these tentacles do not impact vilebloods. These mushrooms dried out and cooked are said to amplify electric abilities in coldbloods for a short moment of time. They can also be used to enchant an item with paralytic properties.


WEEPERS

These rare mushrooms can pop up just about anywhere. Only one grows every hundred feet or so and they don't get any bigger than a penny. Weepers are highly sought after since they have been known to greatly reduce corruption. Consuming a Weeper raw will immediately calm someone down, get rid of any current anxiety, wash away depression and paranoia, and clear the mind of hallucinations. Weepers can sharpen the mind and help increase focus. The effect lasts for days and sometimes even weeks. It isn't a permanent cure but it sure beats having a panic attack. Weepers can be collected and saved indefinitely. There are no other uses for them than mental relief, and they must be consumed raw. Cooking a Weeper will get rid of its healing properties - but it does add great flavor to a dish! If a mentally stable person eats them, there will be no effect.


BLUE CHEEKS

These radiant mushrooms grow in clusters on healthy trees and seem to thrive among vegetation. You might find Blue Cheeks in your own garden. They are certainly pretty, but you don't want to eat these. They will cause you to slowly suffocate - even if you don't typically need to "breathe" in the traditional way. It's an agonizing way to go. Your body will start to experience micro-seizures as it locks up, your throat slowly closing up, lungs squeezing inward. It will begin to feel like someone is sitting on your chest and there will be no relief. Your cheeks start to turn blue. Most who eat Blue Cheeks wind up dead, but if someone forcibly makes you vomit shortly after consuming a Blue Cheek, you may be able to survive. Some harvest Blue Cheeks and smash them up to coat their weapons in the jelly-like substance. This substance causes the same effect but must be used while the Blue Cheek jam is still wet. It will stay wet for an hour.

PROMPT 2: THE SLEEPER FARM

CONTENT WARNINGS: Kidnapping, claustrophobia, harvesting blood/organs, imprisonment, temporary nerf of powers, blood sacrifice, brief amnesia, confusion, loss of time, breathing in blood, treatment of humanoids(?) like livestock, themes of meat markets, themes of torture, mutilated corpses, mutilating injuries.

The blood pollution is thick this month and the more a Sleeper is exposed, the more a Sleeper will find themselves falling into a strange stupor. You seem to forget what you were doing, where you are, what time it is. You will find it increasingly difficult to use your blood powers. Some may lose their new abilities entirely. It's like trying to wake up from a deep dream, everything's sluggish and hazy.

Then you blink. That's all. Maybe you went to sleep or wash your face. When you open your eyes again, you're somewhere else entirely and have no recollection of how you got there. Your body has a deep ache, you're filthy, hungry, and feel like it's somehow been days. You have nothing on you except a drab red jumpsuit. No shoes. No Omni. No weapons.

THE STALLS: 1st FLOOR

If you're lucky, you wake up in a stall with another Sleeper (or more). You can hear and feel the dull vibration of heavy machinery chugging around you; you can smell oil and something thick and musty fermenting.

You are in some way restrained upon waking, whether through shackles to the wall, one another, or some other means. Whatever put you here doesn't want you to escape. You can barely access your powers (for now), but maybe you can find help in nearby Sleepers.

Once you escape, you almost wish you had stayed in your stall. The stalls are the only thing that's farmlike about the Sleeper Farm. It's an architectural masterpiece of steel pistons gyrating, metal staircases heading in every direction, steam-powered doors that exhale open upon an approach. Oil drips continually from above, like filthy rainfall, but every now and then, so does blood of all kind. Never enough to detect the source immediately though.

Your only real option left is to...explore. And this metal palace is huge. You will find various tools for construction around: wrenches, hammers, saws, nails, anything you'd find at a hardware store. You could come across workboots, protective gloves, helmets with lights. The metal around you is boiling hot, and if you're not careful, getting burns is all too easy. You can hear something banging around above. You may even see movement through metal slots of humanoids rushing away. Then you start to find the source of the blood...

STORAGE: 2-9th Floors

Sleepers have been strung up in various locations. Maybe they are ones you recognize, maybe they are you (if you're unlucky enough to wake up like that), or maybe they are completely foreign to you, maimed beyond recognition. Many have been pinned up and mutilated in some way, whether fully skinned and bled dry, or body parts removed, skin carved into. Some have buckets beneath them to collect blood while others seem to have been decoratively destroyed. There is no saving some, but there is saving many. Some might have only just been strung up, still alive, still fully intact, and without any harm done just yet...But no matter what, most won't remember how they got there.

The further you go, the more bodies you come across. Some bodies have been rolled up into bags and tossed into empty rooms in piles. The floor is slick with blood, and the metal maze becomes increasingly complex with tighter turns and thicker blood pollution. It becomes difficult to breathe without ingesting in some kind of blood - but on the other hand...Your powers begin to work because of it. You can start to feel it coming back to you. You can feel yourself slowly start to regain your strength. Which is probably for the best, since you're not out of this hell just yet.

BLOOD HARVEST: 10th Floor

You enter a perfect, circular room built out of pure bloodstone from the different blood types, neatly flushed together in a mesmerizing display of artistry and architecture. At the center of a room is an enormous golden statue of The Tower, hands held out with palms open.

Filling the palms of the statue and surrounding the base of the Tower are hundreds of organs, perfectly intact, given to the statue in sacrifice. The miraculous thing, however, is the fact that most of the organs still seem to be functioning - or at the very least, they aren't rotting the way they should be. It isn't something one wishes to look at for too long.

More importantly, are the five doors that represent the five different blood types. Each door is made from the same gray wood, but with a single bloodstone in the center. Beyond the door is where you come to discover the true horror of where you are.

You're in a Sleeper Farm. Sleepers have been organized by blood types into a vast room. Some cannot be saved, opened up on tables, their organs already carved out and given over to the sacrifice. Others are still alive, but hooked up to tubes, their blood being pumped into vats kept in the ceiling. More disturbingly are the bodies of Sleepers that barely look like Sleepers at all anymore - they have been stripped so thoroughly of everything, left like hunks of meat on hooks. There are fires stoked towards the back, with shelves of jars with blood vials and bloodstones.

It's probably time to wonder who did this to you. Who brought you to this place?

And probably how the hell you get out.

QUICK FACTS

1. To avoid this prompt, you can simply handwave your character getting lucky or Wearing a gas mask and full facial/bodily coverage to help keep the likelihood of blood pollution impact lower.

2. If characters don't have eyes, any variation of vulnerability will count (ie; turning away from something, putting on headphones, etc).

3. Characters cannot have their Omni or any other item in this prompt except items they find along the way. They can still summon their Omens. Omens can help guide Sleepers, and provide communication. One can use Omens to transmit messages to the Network. However, characters cannot find their way to this location from outside. This is a by-chance location.

4. You can choose your character's level of restraint (muzzles/handcuffs/etc) and how easily they can escape them (maybe the shackles can be broken apart with enough strength or you need a nearby key).

5. Those whose Patron is the Tower will be able to more easily navigate the Sleeper Farm and figure out its continually moving parts. They may get a "telepathic" swaying by the Tower to go in the right direction. They will also instinctively know that they are inside the Tower's body in some way.

6. Characters can wake up in any part of the Tower and experience this prompt multiple times.

7. To get out, one must sacrifice some sort of blood or an organ directly to the Tower whether their own or someone else's. This will transport a Sleeper back into town in a random location. Alternatively: Moon Presence will be saving Sleepers by "pulling" them out of this place at random. It will feel a lot like traveling through the lamps, but Sleepers will realize it's the Moon Presence instead. She will place them back in their homes. This can be done at any time.

8. This prompt is meant to go hand-in-hand with the third prompt, but it is not required to engage with both.

PROMPT 3: BLOOD CRAZED ZEALOTS

CONTENT WARNINGS: Severe disorientation, psychological horror, paradoxical horror, feelings of being trapped/lost, Cenobites/beings with extreme bodily modifications, themes of mental and physical torture.

You are not alone in the Sleeper Farm, and someone powerful has brought you here. It wasn't the Tower though. It was someone obsessed with the Tower. Or...obsessed with blood.

They lurk throughout Trench, never letting themselves be known until they want to be known. They abduct Sleepers in the blink of an eye, masters of reality-bending and experts of blood abilities.

Meet the Blood-Crazed Zealots.

Or, as you will come to learn through various interactions, ancient Sleepers who have been exposed to blood pollution for far too long and who have been completely corrupt by it. These are masters of their blood magic, darkblood magicians who can snap their fingers and rip a Sleeper off the streets. Palebloods who can make you forget who you are, where you are. Vilebloods who have mastered the exact skill of extracting blood and harvesting it for bloodstones and sacrifices. Warmbloods who have gladly given their bodies up to power the Tower. Coldbloods who keep the metal machinery of the Sleeper Farm running perfectly.

These are the Sleepers who learned to survive in a different way, Sleepers who learned to cohesively blend their skills together to not only survive but excel. Most have completely disfigured themselves, claiming it to be an act of religious commitment to the "Patron Pthumerians that guide us."

The Blood Crazed Zealots believe that they must continually sacrifice Sleepers to the Tower primarily in order to keep the city of Trench strong against corruption. And the thing is...They technically aren't wrong. The Bone Season is when Trench becomes the weakest, so the Blood Crazed Zealots work overtime to get the blood pumping into the streets.

These beings are naturally sadistic, uninterested in compassion. Yet they show the potential for what Sleepers could learn, and if you're clever enough, you may even be able to get a Blood Crazed Zealot to pause and teach you a thing about your own blood type. They are ruthless and powerful, but far from irrational or stupid. Corrupt they may be, senseless they are not.

Some of you may wake up to one of these creatures torturing you or torturing a friend. You may catch them in the streets of Trench, turning a corner, and that may be your chance to follow them into the Sleeper Farm by stepping into the black holes they leave in their wake when teleporting.

The Blood Crazed Zealots can summon hooks from nowhere and snare you in their traps. They can get extremely creative and oftentimes will enjoy dragging out the agony. They know how to drain Sleepers of their blood and their powers...So how is one to even combat one of these?

Use their own game against them, of course. Blood is power and you might as well use yours. Blood Crazed Zealots are tied to their word and obey the law of the blood. If you create a blood oath with one of these Blood Crazed Zealots that's just clever enough, you may be able to protect yourself and a few others. But be careful. Blood oaths with Blood Crazed Zealots can have loopholes. Ask to be set free and they might let your body go, but keep your mind to drive you insane.

Despite their power, they are still limited in what they can do. They can't be everywhere at once, and one can hide from them. They can even be killed if a Sleeper properly regains their strength.

QUICK FACTS

1. You can create your own variation of a Blood Crazed Zealot. Their general concept is inspired by cenobites, but the general concept is a humanoid-being who looks like they have sacrificed a good deal of their body.

2. They will communicate this information openly to Sleepers who ask about it as well as tell Sleepers about other lore and facts about blood types/the Pthumerians.

3. Their powers are based on regular blood type powers (ie; a coldblood BCZ could torture people with electricity.) Some are much weaker than others.

4. They would not accept a new Sleeper who wanted to become "one of them" since they are created after decades of exposure to blood pollution.

5. People can run into these both in the Sleeper Farm and in Trench. One could convince a Blood Crazed Zealot to bring them to the Sleeper Farm in order to save others.

Timeline/Event Ideas: pre-event is kind of up in the air because i'm waiting to see if my boyfriend's nemu app gets accepted, as a lot of my plans for this month will be dictated by his acceptance into the game ;3; his blessed day is this month so he'll have a time celebrating that alone or alone-ish or with nemu. pre-event stuff will also be taking place at lull; maybe some performance type prompts.

the mushroom hunting is cute! i want to do that and have samatoki and his omen (a snow leopard) snuffle around for mushrooms. he'll probably get way into the healing properties of walking terrors and weepers. maybe a network post will go up from him ... let me know if you wanna forage!

basic ideas are that samatoki is going to wake up and try to unsuccessfully cause a riot pretty much! aiming to distract the BCZ from their torture by being loud and attempting to kill any of them that he comes across. he'll probably be a scary sight to behold alone

i think that samatoki will get into the sleeper farm twice and die the second time. ???? so uh! i'm open to old CR and very open to new CR for the sleeper farm ideas! i'm also really flexible on it so hmu if you have ideas.

Character Role: Currently just a Hunter, will also be a Night Walker. Eventually.

What CR you would like to develop for this event: Friends are always welcome, Lance jives with a pretty good range of people. I'm also a lover of complicated weird CR, like are they enemies? friends? related? Fully negative CR is welcome, as is found family and some casual dating/friends with benefits.
Open to New CR this event: No.
What CR you want to avoid this event: Committed long-term Romance.

Timeline/Event Ideas: Lance will be recovering mentally from killing Reaper and publicly losing his mind and revealing one of the worst experiences of his life, as well as recovering physically from fighting Maul for three straight days. Legit, he's unconscious for at least two days after. On top of that he's been suffering from corruption for about a month now and it's been manifesting visibly since he killed Reaper. He's also gonna start helping to fix the damage in Prufrock and keep to himself, but I'm down for having him partake in all the event prompts more likely in the later half of the month. I will be limiting new threads this month to only those already discussed and threads with existing CR.

Mushabooming
I'm down to have an encounter with every single mushroom on the list because he's a disaster like that. He's actually got survival skills and does recognize poisonous plants from home, but these ones are new... someone please rescue him from eating the Blue Cheeks, they're blue and he trusts the color blue!

The Sleeper Farm
Down for this, though perhaps not more than once or twice. Lance has been suffering from corruption for about a month now to the point that it was somewhat physically manifesting by the end of October, so all this blood pollution and ingestion will be interesting. I plan to have him wake up in the stalls because he's been through a lot already and he'll be relieved his blood powers are gone and may even abruptly touch his stallmate(s) and hug them because holy shit, he's not absorbing their feelings and pain! The entire farm is a nightmare, but again, he's seen just as bad before, he will be rather good at keeping it together and being able to focus on getting out. He also has non-blood powers that are helpful but I'll be nerfing them too in order to make the event more interesting.

Blood-Crazed Zealots
So these guys are a horrific thing, Lance will really have a hard time with the fact that they are ancient sleepers, he'll visibly really struggle with it and I'd be interested to have that conversation about identity etc. I don't plan to have him harmed by them at all, he's gonna be more of a savior for this part of the event. If your character is being tormented by them, Lance will pretty decisively get in there and save them and he has no issues killing these guys. I'm really interested in getting creative with the zealots' manner of speaking and appearance, as well as powers. Lance won't stop to hear any of what they have to say, though. Even if it sounds like it might be important.

Monthly Pacing: I usually manage to get to a tag about three hours after I get it, if I'm awake and have some free time. However, I live in the GMT+8 timezone, so some tags will def be waiting longer. I also just arrived home after an intense three-day trip (literally, just a little over an hour ago as I write this), so I want to sleep for a few days. By Monday, I should be back to my normal self.

What CR you would like to develop for this event: Some friends, maybe. Admittedly, Nehan isn't the easiest to get along with, but he's trying to be nicer! Also comrades with benefits, because making friends with this snarky little bastard tends to take a long time, so it'd be easier for people to have a mutual agreement with him. Scratch his back, and he'll scratch yours, etc etc. This can be anything from the exchange of goods to specific services that only specific people need and Nehan can grant, or promises to have each others' back in times of need... That sort of thing.

In a specific case, I want him to work with people who aren't paleblood for samples of those mushrooms! And he may need a minder as he actually works on those, to pull him out of trouble when he inevitably gets fucked up with testing things out. An experienced nerd-minder would be best, but budding nerd-minders are also welcome.

Open/Closed to New CR this event: Gimme both old and new CR

What CR you want to avoid this event: Given the nature of the prompts and how Nehan is disabled, I think someone who isn't helpful by personality or is accident-prone will not do well, especially with the Sleeper Farm section. Someone who gets provoked or hurt easily might not work well either, since Nehan has a sharp tongue and a really morbid sense of humor. In the Sleeper Farm, depending on how the mods get back to me, he may or may not have his eyepatch and crutch, so he's likely to make a lot more uncomfortable commentary, and need regular assistance getting around.

Timeline/Event Ideas: I'm mostly going off of the event for now, but at the end of the month or to the start of December, I'm having Nehan open up for his medicine business properly. But that will be for later.

Illarion is both helpful by nature and also basically emotionally indestructible if someone decides to rag on him, so he'd be well-suited to helping Nehan out. (He also has a morbid sense of humor and will largely be undisturbed by all the horror of the Farm, so bonus points??) Caveat for he would definitely not be shy about picking up and carrying a bro if the situation warranted, I have no idea whether or not that would be good or bad for their CR or something you'd want to do, lol.

Timeline/Event Ideas:

Mushabooming Ruby is definitely going to be collecting whatever mushrooms she can to stock up remedies for the safe houses. She'll also be willing to work in the paralytic mushroom into peoples weapons if they'd like.

Willing to have her help out or be helped out after falling victim to mushroom affects. Probably most interested in threading the paralyzing or suffocating threads. I'm not going to be subjecting her to beasthood this month but she'll definitely fight someone who has succumbed to it.

Sleeper Farm/Crazed Zealots Definitely going to have Ruby captured at some point and brought to the sleeper farm. Some mutual escaping or a rescue by either her or another person is my jam and I'd be happy to play that out. She is pretty creative when it comes to a fight and will likely be able to fashion the tools in the farm into something more makeshift but effective to escape with.

Once she regains her powers I'd like to use this as an opportunity for her to get a better handle on her powers since they've been a touch chaotic since first arrived and she wont have her regular weapon to rely on. Whether she ends up learning from Zealot or through fighting them off, both would be cool to play out.

Timeline/Event Ideas:
Mushabooming: Yep, well, Wrench is an established forager and has long been known to play with the flora and fauna around Deer1 to harvest its properties into his lotions and potions and stuff. So absolutely, he'll be checking out what new fungal growth the Trench has to offer. As I said, it could lead to trouble for him or could put him in a position to play rescue. For his misfortune, I'm mostly interested in having him face the Walking Terrors or the Floaters. He will be a great source for Weepers.

The Sleeper Farm: I'm curious to see what permanent impact making a sacrifice might yield here, because I'm not looking to kill the guy, but I'm pretty okay with leaning far into this prompt. For the time being I'll say that Wrench will be here to play rescue to whomever he can (but would probably triage known acquaintances and friends first, of course), and that depending on the permanence of the situation... he might lose some organs or something himself, too. Especially if he's with friends or close CR and they've determined it's the only way for them to get out. He'll probably volunteer his body as sacrifice, given the closeness of the relationship. If it's not close CR you can fight him for it.

He won't say no to any help, and will try to get others free, maybe while being pursued by a particularly sadistic zealot with a thrill for the chase a la any good slasher flick? The Sleeper Farm

This place is so totally his thing. I might even do something different and run timed prompts, ie. have him in different stages of the farm on different days. Depending on the Sleeper he crosses paths with, he's likely to sacrifice one of his organs to escape and help a friend or someone he decides is interesting or useful (or who amuses him), but if you anger or disgust him, well, you wouldn't be the first person he threw under a metaphoric bus.

Blood-Crazed Zealot

These creatures are probably going to annoy or intrigue him. Or both. He might let them capture him just to allow himself to get closer to them and learn from them, or rescue someone just to mess with the BCZs (and also gather what information he can). Rescuing him from them will displease him, but oh well, he'll learn more by another route.

I see Luz all over this! Of course she's already trying to feed the boys (and girl/duck) in the house, so she'll be heavy into this a lot of the upcoming week, even eagerly pouring over pictures of mushrooms to tell one from the other. I wouldn't actually mind Luz getting hit with a few of the bad effects either, since that'll just be a way to get to play the hapless side of Luz, eager but a little too foolhardy at times.

The Sleeper Farm

I am...hesitant to throw Luz into being captured. Her last torture session was pretty traumatic to her and pretty much mirrors this one without the cannibalism, but is still going to be a rough sit. Even having Luz NOT captured will make this all pretty hard to sit through, but I'm thinking I'm more likely to hit the latter rather than the former. I'm not unopened to it though.
An unhappy Luz will be using her actual magical glyph to get a better look at this place, but a light glyph will be about all she can manage due to the blood pollution.

Blood Crazed Zealots

It will be hard for Luz not to feel fury at their actions, but I am also not against her encountering an ancient zealot who is also a Paleblood and leaning some more about her strange magic. In that instance it will have to be a Paleblood, because the ones with other magic Luz will view as hostile, for good reason. I am open to her double teaming with a Sleeper (or more) to help others escape, but it will be a struggle for Luz in every sense of the word. This is going to be something right out of her darkest nightmares, and may cause her to act a little more rashly than usual. Having that happen is a lot, and I plan to retain the perspective that a young girl like Luz will have some fallout, and some other revelations about herself come to light.

Mushrooms - Varian, naturally, will be taking a bunch of samples for future use - because you can never have enough poisons in your life, right? He'll probably have a few (light-hearted) whoopsies while handling them, like an idiot. Please help him.

Sleeper Farm - I plan to have Varian be dragged into this at some point and either be in the stalls or strung up and bled a little (probably the latter). As mentioned before he has that Tower sense helping guide him around, so he'll be able to lead people through the farm. Depending on if he gets to keep his prosthetic or not will depend on how much help he'll need. I am very much down for a moon presence prompt and for characters who journey with him who weren't in Deerington, he'll happily deposit some lore on them about their saviour. Learning!

Zealots - He's definitely going to be uncomfortable about this whole Tower sacrifice deal. Farm/BCZ's: Goatman is particularly Not Happy about the Farm. Ives is likely to be on the hunt for any BCZ's he can find and mangle in retaliation. He has magic from home to use in place of any blood magic, but is likely to prefer the satisfaction of using his horns for less than magical purposes. He may try interrogating BCZ's, but he won't show them mercy after getting information from them. Beyond that he's open to fighting alongside others, rescuing people, and trying to escape.

If he gets particularly mangled/taken apart, it'll likely spark enough adrenaline to cause him to shapeshift, though this transformation is roughly the size of a school bus on the small end, so it's unlikely he'll be able to get far within the Tower if he can't fit through the corridors. He's prone to passing out after returning to his humanoid shape after taking this form, so he'd be open to a rescue?

Wildcard?: Ives wants to do some testing with his Dream/Memory magic used on Beasts, in hopes he could try and restore their humanity. This will be a long term project/experiment, not attached to any particular event or timeframe!

Mushrooms: A lot of things come down to mushrooms in Trench and Diluc will be out in force, collecting mushrooms with the help of his dragon of an omen. He'll be taking notes and storing away what he knows is useful.

Sleeper Farm: So, I'm interested in Diluc getting kidnapped for it. I'm even fine with him being strung up and hurt enough to need to work with someone else. Case by case basis how it all shakes out. But not the top floors. So maybe rescuing or busting out, that kind of thing.

He's used to deerington enough to know fucked up shit happening is like. Well there it is, the fuckery he was expecting. Better he doesn't know how deep the fuckery goes.

Zealots: Diluc will have no interest in pacts. But gathering info? Yes. Putting down evil? Yes. This will be Diluc at his most vicious and righteous. He has a sword edge to grind and justice to issue. If the other party (zealots) just somehow end up dead, well that's the cost of doing bad things.

He will advise others not to enter pacts or some kind of agreement with them. Aka this will be the fighting and murder prompt in his bag this month.

She's also a darkblood, who can help people by making temporary runestones with her blood to keep the floaters and walking terror spores at bay. They are temporary magic inscribed on some pretty stones she's been collecting from around the docks.

-- Making it all the way to the 10th floor of the Sleeper Farm and is more than willing to let someone cut her open and sacrifice an organ to get out...or she'll do it herself. She's got a very high pain tolerance and knows how to keep herself alive until she gets medical attention (she maybe has experience with going through torture before... >>). I had the idea for a paleblood zealot who uses their visions to hunt down different Sleepers and then manipulating their minds to lead them to their vileblood partner who is using mushrooms to paralyze Sleepers so they can get their torture/blood transfusion on. Mushroom Shenanigans

Oz is concerned about a food shortage come winter, so he'll be trying his best to harvest mushrooms and learn to like them. Problem is that he has never had to forage in his life and will probably make a lot of mistakes. Interested in paralysis or hallucinations; If hallucinating, Oz may use the B-Rabbit destructively and be very ashamed of himself afterward.

Sleeper Farm

Oz will be kidnapped early in the month (before Atsushi,) and try to help as many people as possible. He's someone who deals with intense emotions by putting a lid on them, so he may come off as a creepy child at first (trying to hide his emotions and not react.) When he does give in to his emotions, his B-Rabbit power will likely lead to him being destructive (and unhelpful) until someone snaps him out of it.

Will be getting advice about his vileblood and learning to numb his pain. Oz will offer to help anyone else who is injured. Because he can't feel pain, he'll also offer himself to get other people sent home (unless someone rightfully smacks him for being too self-sacrificing.)

Oz won't be useless, and I'd like a chance for some CR (new or old) to see his B-Rabbit power in action! Oz wants to be a hunter right now, but he'll eventually have to come to terms with the fact that his power is too dangerous for that. Having someone see that now would be helpful! ♥

Open/Closed to New CR this event: Anyone, old or new, who would be suitably shocked to see a good soft boi in a rage or hurting himself is welcome. Be aware that, in some ways, Deku is a walking spoiler through the Class A/B joint training session.
What CR you want to avoid this event: I already have a lot of lovely meet-and-greet SOL threads that I will backtag into infinity. I can't see Deku doing/allowing organ sacrifice when blood will work just fine. No killing anyone/thing (to his knowledge), except maybe him.

Event Ideas: I didn't expect it to happen so soon but BERSERKER DEKU, THIS IS NOT A DRILL. Nothing pushes his rage button harder than hurting an innocent person or his allies. It's an even better way to torture him than actually torturing him! I would especially love existing CR to see this almost feral side of him. It's not corruption. It's just him.

Farm Rescue: He's got super strength and basic first aid. He will absolutely be coated in blood at some point, and his face may look murderous. Do... you really want to be rescued by him... JK he's a good boy. We can deus ex Moon Presence, or he will insist (CW: self harm) that he do the blood sacrifice. I think this idea is the one I'm most interested in.

Farm Captive: CW: finger/hand injury and self harm in this prompt. Let's temp power nerf and shackle our chars. Continuing the fine(?) MHA tradition of hand injuries, Deku will break his first metacarpals. He knows this is a stupid idea for several reasons too long to list here. But in (t)his case, it's just viable enough to work. Then he'll free your character. Please be his opposable thumb buddy!! He may attempt to rescue some NPCs along the way. I'm also pretty jazzed about this prompt.

Combat Zealots: Let's kick some heads! for information, to rescue someone, etc. If you want to win, I'm looking for someone pretty capable so this team-up can actually hold their own. If you want to lose, farm times? Death? Deku could get really injured here. If your mushroom-gathering character will give him some, he may use them in/post battle too!

Hospital pls: Please patch him up or visit him. He'll probably cry about not being able to save everyone. Comfort him. Yell at him for getting into danger. You love to see it.

Mushabooming
Illarion won't be an active participant in mushroom-hunting except for maybe a little foraging for Weepers and truffles; he has no notion of what an edible mushroom is since they're all poisonous to (his kind of) elves! He is, however, available to get people out of trouble with any of the Bad Shrooms if someone wants his help for that. His Darkblood abilities are not directly useful at spore dispersal since he doesn't have telekinesis Kyle, but it might be a fun opportunity for him to discover he can directly screw with natural law in his vicinity and make the spores combustible at room temperature or something equally effective-but-terrifying.

Sleeper Farm and Blood Crazed Zealots
MAN, I have too many ideas to count! I'm up in the air on whether or not I want him captured initially, but he will be alarmingly unfazed by everything going on in there; this is a much larger scale of operation than he's ever seen the Unearthed do but it's also all in day's work for an undead empire, so, you know. Morally repugnant but also what's the point in him being upset about it. Whether or not this will be an asset to anyone stuck in there with him remains to be seen... If he IS initially captured, he will also be trapped in eldritch abomination form to start and may well need help getting out of being strung up somewhere.

He will be pretty dedicated to getting anyone in there with him out, up to and including sacrificing a lot of body parts to buy other people passage out.

Whiiich gets into how he'd interact with the BCZs--I would love an opportunity for him to go full Malevolent Faerie Contracts on some of these guys using their blood pacts. He is very expert at phrasing things so they can't be misunderstood or loopholed due to his former job, and is very happy to use those powers for good evil?? other Sleepers in this particular instance. Think something like tricking a BCZ into matching him organ-for-organ in sacrifices if they'll let an extra Sleeper go for every one, and oh, oops, did you need your heart? He sure didn't need his! Although a contest like that may well end up where he's the one who needs some help out of there... I am more than open to other ideas on how other Sleepers could springboard off him making diabolic blood oaths, so if that's something you wanna play with, hit me up!!

I'm loving the terrifying organ trade fae-contract idea you got there. Ives can vengeance murder his way through the Tower, but getting out is another matter. He's not super into scavenging organs, though he might out sheer desperation. Getting out in a more clever way alongside Illarion would be great though.

Timeline/Event Ideas: So I'll be taking it slowly for Peter this month and won't be top-leveling him, as I have a good number of older threads still going on. However, I would still love to do a few things here, so I'll be looking to make more specific plans / stick to tag ins (or I can pen up closed starters)!

GENERAL. Peter's blessed day / birthday was November 1 (he's a 19-year-old baby man now...) so he's got a bit of an advantage this month! Given that he's usually the lost one, it'd be fun to have him help navigate some others through town if they need. He also got a compass from The Tower that can be used to draw a little secret hideaway for up to 24 hours at a time, and Peter would absolutely be telling his CR about it. If anyone would like a secret room to recluse away in / some chill times inbetween all the horror of this month, he's got you.

→ Paimon: So the horror movie demon somehow kind of got himself a job working at Lysithea's bakery..... I'd be down to do some fun little things with that, with Fellow Employees or customers...
Also, Paimon has begun actively conjuring rewards and grants for people (at the moment, exclusively in the form of gold / golden items). I have a little page for info & wish requests, that anyone is welcomed to use (or lmk if you'd like to thread out some Wish Demon shenanigans)! I'd love to do more with this, as Paimon forming connections with others is extremely important to his progress, and it will also affect Peter's powers in game, as he begins to "merge" more with the demon king.

MUSHABOOMING. This is absolutely awful, but I would kind of love for Peter to help save someone from a Blue Cheeks suffocation.... It would involve touching on some pretty discomforting subjects, as his little sister suffered an anaphylactic episode / severe allergic reaction which ultimately led to her death (not from the reaction itself, but she was having it when she was killed in another horrific way...) I'd probably only want to stick to doing this once, so if anyone might be interested, please let me know! (aaand quickly edits to say that I've got this covered by now, but if anyone might want assistance through other types of mushroom-related terrors, I can definitely offer him up )

THE SLEEPER FARM. Peter will absolutely not handle a single part of this well at all (read: he's going to freak the fuck out). That said, I'd love to do some team ups to explore / escape. Since Peter's patron is The Tower, he'd actually be of real use here, so that could be fun to play with.... Peter, desperately trying not to faint on the floor as he attempts to guide you through the hideous gigantic meat market

Timeline/Event Ideas:
General: Fern is going to start the process of building a deathtrap obstacle course for Sleepers, AKA The Gauntlet! He's happy to accept help from anyone who wants to get involved. He'll also be making himself available for sparring and training sessions, and helping people improve their fighting and weaponry skills (especially for kids/teens).

Mushabooming: Oh boy!! Fern will be growing ALL of the edible mushrooms throughout the month (possibly the event ones too, we'll see), so he'll be a very reliable source of food, especially for some of the rarer stuff like truffles. He can also communicate with nature, including fungi and mushrooms, so he'll be able to feel the emotions for both the event and non-event mushrooms, and be able to impose his own emotions on them, too.

I'm very interested in mushroom shenanigans! I've got a bunch of options here: Fern growing mushrooms for people, or going mushroom hunting for funsies; Sleepers helping Fern deal with the influx of mushroom emotions hitting him; Fern helping another Sleeper deal with the event mushrooms; doing some event mushroom investigation, regardless of whether Fern can grow them on his body.

The Sleeper Farm: I'm down for one or two threads involving this, though it's a lot less torture for Fern since he's made of grass and can eventually regrow any damage he takes. That makes him a good option for exploration of their surroundings and dealing with the psychological aspects of this and so on, rather than straight physical torture buddies. I'd prefer an escape via Moon Presence as well. Except him to treat this as a particularly bad dungeon crawl and try to hoard some loot, because he's a little Adventure Time barbarian.

Blood Zealots: Fern is available to fight off Zealots. He wouldn't really go the clever direction with them. He will however be pretty shaken upon learning they're ancient Sleepers.

Timeline/Event Ideas: I plan to have Faolan doing a lot of foraging for the mushrooms, since he spends a lot of time in the forest on his own in canon and he is good at that sort of thing. He will eventually wind up in the Tower but as I said I plan to tread lightly there with him because I'm not really interested in severely triggering him -- he doesn't really have a good support system and that just wouldn't be fun for anyone. I'm looking for people for him to help with mushrooms! Either rescuing them from the venemous ones he's immune to, or just helping with foraging in general! Also Tower things, I'd like for him to be able to HELP people in the tower, so he feels like he made a difference in there and he isn't just stuck in a spiral of "all despair, no hope, no friends, etc"
