Hello Trenchies!

We have recently finalized our new Taken List format. We know that it's a bit tedious to go through this process again but it would be a massive help to our team if all players could please fill out the form on the Taken page and leave a comment there to make transfer over to the new list easier to accomplish.

CHAPTER 2

MAY YOU FIND YOUR WORTH IN THE WAKING WORLD....

Welcome to Deer Country; your new home away from home and the Second Chapter to Deerington. The Nightmare of Sodder has come to an end and has left a ravaged world in its wake. Deer Country is a world infested with monsters and drenched in blood magic but it's not all dread and terror. Deer Country provides characters a unique oppurtunity to be literally born anew. Characters are reincarnated into a second chance. Deer Country is about finding a purpose and finding a home in a terrible situation.

Deer Country is a panfandom intense horror game that takes inspiration from Bloodborne, Dark Souls, H.P. Lovecraft, Junji Ito, Stephen King, Hellboy, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, His Dark Materials, and other similar media. Most of the horror is based in body horror, psychological horror, eldritch terror, existential dread, cult themes, and of course, blood.

You will not need to be familiar with Deerington in order to enjoy Deer Country, but it certainly will help enjoy the lore! This game is focused on worldbuilding and community building and will provide a variety of challenges to characters both emotionally and physically.

There is plenty to learn about Deer Country so we encourage people to take the following months to read up and familiarize themselves with the new world! You are welcome to ask questions on any of the new game pages but our mod team is still taking an active mod break so it may be a while before you get a response. Thank you for understanding!

*Early Access Reserves Open August 27th.
*Early Access Applications Open September 1st.
*Early Access is for players who were active in the final 7 months of Deerington. Early Access ends after the September application cycle has closed.

Deer Country officially opens to the public on October 1st.
Public reserves begin September 26th.

Public TDMs will be available to play in during August and September even for those without early access. We invite everyone to come test the waters early!
