Time to cozy up with each other and touch base on ideas and plans you have for your ongoing character relationships! We strive for an open and friendly gamespace where everyone can feel encouraged to seek new CR opportunities or work on existing ones. It is not required to do the CR meme, but it's a good idea for keeping your thoughts in order and meeting some new people, and helping to establish what you've got going on in-game!

Heck yes!! I'm absolutely here for this, and for any brainstorming sessions or ideas that might jump out to you over time! I would be so down to have Paimon interact with other "complicated antagonistic characters"; I've been playing him a couple of years and really been able to extrapolate some characterisation out for him, but still tried to keep that Hereditary Ambiguity to everything.

He's largely still a scrambled mess that can go... so many ways, so it's always fun to see how he'd react to various characters. I'm super canonblind but just from peeking at things here and there, I've seen that demons/demonic-esque-things are a part of JGY's canon?? So that could definitely be Very Interesting.

ooop sorry for missing that you'd replied to this, I guess I missed an email notif!! and yes, evil spirits, ghosts, demons, 'resentful energy' in general is all part of jin guangyao's canon. dealing with those things via martial arts + spiritual powers (aka magic that comes from qi) is a cultivator's job, though even in his own canon, jgy helped conduct pretty shady research into so-called demonic cultivation. there really wouldn't be a parallel entity to paimon in his canon though; the closest comparison might be from another wuxia novel by the same author, which contains powerful ghost kings called calamities, which have the power to wreck entire nations.

anyway! I would be stoked to have jgy encounter paimon (and peter too, of course lol). do you have any specific plans for him for february yet or are you still brainstorming?

No worries at all!! I'm (clearly) forever slow even without email notif problems always popping up :'DD But EXCELLENT, I'm always very interested to bounce Peter/Paimon/This Whole Mess against others with supernatural spooky experience, and JGY's particular brand of experience sounds extremely interesting! I can already predict that Paimon would be extremely [eyes emoji] about him......

I haven't hashed out specific plans yet, but I always start getting really inspired whenever the newsletters drop, so we could start brainstorming a potential meeting when the next one goes down!
