Where they live: "Around" - He has a main crash in Lumenwood for the time being.
Relationship Status: Uninterested outside of no-strings-attached situations.
Other close CR: His "boss", his little brother, and other allies and "enemies" from home.
Positive CR Desired: He's not one for "positive" CR because he's a despicable villain with trust issues and callous disregard for people's lives. That said, he's not above making acquaintance for mutual gain. "Allies" in the loose term. Come trade with him, he deals in a stockpile of convenience store goods for information, favors, and medical supplies. Willing to team up with people for hunting or foraging.
Negative CR Desired: Most CR with him starts off negative, as anyone is viewed as distrusted "enemy" until he knows them better. If you want to get on his bad side, come try and be a "hero" around him or try to "fix" him and he'll hate it.
He may not take well to someone messing with his brother either...CR Note: He's very much an objectifying recruiter, who accepts people based on how useful they are to him, and entirely willing to reject and dispose of people he doesn't find any use for. He doesn't do "friends" anymore, due to his backstory, and most CR he develops is based on advantage. That said, he can make allies with people if it's beneficial. Antagonistic CR is perfectly fine as well.
Day to Day Life: Still getting used to Trench, he's looking towards getting more of a "feel" for how to "do life" here. He had his first brush with beasthood and instant corruption last month, so he's very wary about dealing with that again. May or may not be interested in looking into a Hunter's vocation, though he's not interested in trying to save whoever he's set after. He does have an interest in the Lumenarium and learning more about blood and blood magic, but these are more for selfish interests. He mostly spends his days skulking around and lurking from place to place, investigating buildings and the shallow woods around Trench. Occasionally collects plants for the Lumenarium (his brother showed him how) and trains with his Quirk in other areas. Right now, he's mostly focused on surviving day to day. And keeping an eye on his brother and others from his world.
Current Plans: Basically the above + whatever event comes next month.
Event Plans: Will probably top level if/when plans are made, but also happy to tag into other's top levels for hitting up prompts as well. I won't be around the first week of June, however, but I'll keep to whatever plans are made prior and after.

There's not really reason I can see for them to overlap, especially since Allen would give him a wide berth after everything that happened, but if Dabi's
becoming a merchanttrading more modern supplies I could see Allen inadvertently being directed his way without realizing who it was/if he was left unnamed? Given his working at the Sanctuary, and being obnoxiously good at haggling he'd run errands for supplies like that.Otherwise I'm open to just about anything! Or waiting to see what the June events are too, if you wanted to let his and Shouto's post-death thread continue some more first.

There's a number of "forced" ways to have them overlap.
1) Clashing if Dabi's hunting a corrupted person and his determination to kill it goes versus Allen's desire to save it.
2) Trading would be interesting. Dabi might be left unnamed, but it'll probably get out eventually some "burn scar covered guy" does trades like that. Pretty obvious to guess who. (He spent most of last month stealing so much shit from the rifts and stockpiling it.) So Allen might know beforehand.
3) He's fallen a little into Shouto's footsteps in collecting plants to trade in the Lumenarium, so if Allen frequents Lumenwood, then they could run into each other, even if en passe on the streets or in the "hospital". There's also, you know, collecting plants.
4) There is meeting at Allen's Sanctuary, since Dabi would likely pass by if only to get a look at the place Shouto and Midoriya are working part time. He keeps an eye on the people from his world.
5) And then there's random "running into you somewhere" moments that come from exploring Trench anyways. Dabi will be avoiding the docks out of all the places, since he hates fish, so that's a thing. There's also if Allen happens to run into him training his Quirk. Or perhaps there's a reach out with omens to talk rather than meeting face to face.
As far as Dabi and Shouto are going in the post-death thread, Dabi's basically gonna walk Shouto home and then sleep on his couch or something for the night. Stay with him till morning or so. That's his repayment to Allen for getting him out of that mess.
Now... there's likely no way of doing this, but Dabi does want to ask about Allen's ability to cut away corruption. Mostly because he wants to know if it's a learned technique. (Selfishly he wants to be able to burn corruption away so he doesn't have to deal with it, buuut I don't think that's possible, and he'll abandon the notion once that's made apparent.) It's still a topic he'd bring up willingly when seeing Allen again.

1. Man, clashing during a hunt is DEFINITELY WANT TO DO SOMEDAY... sadly he is not going to be up for real combat until late June/early July. I'm letting the death mechanic hit him really hard so he has Development, he's still in the wheelchair for another week or two. Shouto's been helping him around the city when he isn't on patrol since he came back. One day, though...
2. Trading :|a Even if he suspected it's him he'd still go through with it. I get the feeling like there could be a bit more back and forth there, some actual mutual benefit between them both and he'd actually respect the fact Dabi was resourceful enough to steal portals blind for supplies lmsdjfs. A tiny side-eye but... ... well if no one got hurt...
3. Lumenarium could also work! He actually got treated there to try and figure out what was wrong after un-dying, and has physical therapy there occasionally. If we want to have them bump into each other as he's coming back from that. Totally no awkward "oh hey yeah, you're why I'm in... this... (: haha" no he knows it's more because of himself
4. it's not his, if anything it's Amaterasu's!!! lmao I love how uncomfortable he'll be about that forever. If Allen caught sight of him he would absolutely go up to him, more curious about why he's there than anything. Honestly he is concerned about him and if he's been alright, being a bastard or not, but he also knows better than to poke the bear. Probably invite him in to the tree to sit if he was having any troubles with corruption. game of cards?
That actually also COULD I think, knowing from how Allen would talk about it, possibly give a lead-in that would let Dabi ask about his anti-corruption ability too. And while yeah, it isn't anything learnable, he would offer what he knows for being able to reduce it. They have a lot of resources there already; the tree itself, the stockpiled resources and what Viktor and Palamedes are working on (he... won't mention that though, he's not stupid), and bloodhounds like Sansa's. (Which... I think technically would still be in game and possibly tamable. Just not as prevalent.) He's a dumb kind boy and would promise no one would bother him too if that's what he's worried about, if he ever needed to deal with his own corruption, needed anything medical (look at you, you're covered in burns and staples), or even food.
Iiiiiii... kind of lean Sanctuary? It seems the most interesting potential? Or trading? Open to whatever appeals most to you though! Omens, Allen wouldn't have Timcanpy seek him out or contact him I don't think; he already invaded his privacy enough. Ball's more in Dabi's court there.

1. Good! I admit I'm still fitting into the game and getting used to some things, but I do intend to learn more and dive further into it. He's gonna end up hunting someone because why the hell not? But yeah, it won't be for another month or two while some RL things settle for me as well. We can totally make plans for it happening later!
2. Mutual benefit makes a trade for him. If he doesn't feel like he's getting what he wants out of it, he won't bother. But some back and forth would be amusing, so I'm all in to that! Hey, he's surprised other people didn't have the same idea. Rather than fighting portal monsters or checking out new worlds or old friends, cash in on it! Survival's the name of the game here.
3. Dabi doesn't let himself get treated there, but he does haunt it occasionally to keep an eye out and trade plants for supplies. Maybe lightfinger one or two things every now and then. He'd totally take all points for putting Allen in the hospital. You're fault for sticking your nose in business that wasn't yours, kind of mindset. He has no apology for hurting people. Nope. But yeah a run in here would probably be good, if not saved for some later CR so they don't just "hi/bye" and pass each other weirdly.
4. Ngl, I like the idea of Allen inviting him to a game of cards. Probably a good way to find out Dabi doesn't suck at cards as much as Shouto probably does. But it's not like he has a lot of knowledge about it either, since games were never a big thing for him.
It's a good idea to have a few conversation topics around, so I like the idea they can talk about the anti-corruption ability, which would prompt Dabi to eventually ask about the Sanctuary as well. May or may not try to wheedle out some more information because that's what he does. But it's good to know there's a place if he absolutely needs it.
So my thought would be, if Allen gets wind of Dabi doing trades, he could come to him to meet up, they have their banter, do a trade deal or something, and then during the conversation, Allen could mention the Sanctuary and Dabi would come by to see it the following day or day after. So a segue sort of thread that hits both ideas, since they were the two most interesting. Or we could have Allen catch him skulking around the Sanctuary, invite him in for an awkward talk, and then later on have the trade meeting. Either option's good with me. They're flexible.

1. Love it! It's actually perfect because I've talked with mods about a miniplot later in the summer regarding the Hunters and Sanctuary and conflict there, and there's a patron whose month would be good for that/apparently events it would line up well with, so it might fit in really well there. :eyes:
2. Ironically, Allen's a very fair trader. He's good at and will haggle like a skinflint if he has a reason to, but he's canonly obsessed with "fair pay for fair work". ... or not so fair, lmfao. depends. He's just savvy and doesn't let people fleece him unlike Shouto is more the point. But yeah, I do kind of like this because I see some long term possibility? If Dabi stays in a sort of "procurement" pattern depending on opportunities there'd be a constant need from Sanctuary for that. Especially if he ever gets his hands on tech and engineering things for Viktor... It sets them on a more of an even keel (the banter could be great) and yes, like you said--can segue to a thread at Sanctuary and cards.
3. Agree/agree! The other options have a lot more potential. Fun as the snarking/ribbing would be, but if he wants to rub it in his face that he's still partially out of commission because of it in the other scenarios he's more than welcome to lmao.
4. I honestly love the idea so much too hahaha. He's actually going to try to teach Shouto poker at some point (shit, I should ask Blythe if she wants to handwave that over these last few weeks while they've been spending so much time together) but god it's just tragic. You'd think he would be good at it because of a poker face but no, no..... Allen is a notorious cardshark, when he's on his own he gambles to survive and has become insanely good at it but also just really enjoys playing. That said, this is a 'friendly' game and not about relieving some jerks in a skeevy bar of their money. Probably a good idea not place any bets though... although that could also be p amazing/hilarious. No, he'll behave. That is how he bonds with people when things are Complicated. Like when they've tried to kill him before.
But yeah, I really like the idea of blending meeting to trade and then catching Dabi hanging outside Sanctuary later. I think it builds nicely with good potential. Unless you wanted to make it a top level/log of your own, I could whip up a starter? Am fine either way!

1. Awesome. Then we'll slot this one for happening later in the summer. Dabi certainly doesn't ascribe to the Sanctuary's ideals cause he's far too jaded for that crap, but unless they give him a reason, he won't consider burning it down or going against them... They're more an advantage to him alive than dead.
2. Excellent! Allen might end up giving Dabi more information on what makes this world turn, as he has in his head the idea people be like "you want a chicken, cut your finger and bleed into this cup a bit" when it comes to trading. It sucks the main food source here is fish, because he hates fish. Still, they can visit some while bartering. (He might end up going to the market with Shouto at some point to teach him how not to get taken advantage of. By threatening people...) It's definitely some long-term possibility. I miiight want to ask the mods if there's a way to perhaps make this a recurring thing, so Dabi can restock. Trench's on the corner 7-Eleven convenience store shady broker. As for tech and engineering things, basically if you can find it in general convenience store, then Dabi probably has it, though he tended to focus on medical, hygiene, non-perishables, towels/clothes/cleaners, batteries, one-off tech like flashlights and chargers, cameras, jewelry, some stationary, even some more "tradable" toys like cards, jacks, marbles, etc. But he stayed away from shit like perishable foods, cards, make up, and useless toys. Still, we're talking two or so weeks of raids, so... *Le Shrug*
3. Like 1, we can shelve this for a later time.
4. Oh god, don't invite the brothers to come play a poker game with you, Allen. He'll immediately slot that under "trying to force some kind of bonding" and nope out of there so fucking fast. Don't get nosy in his family business, priest. That hasn't changed. (But yes, teach Shouto. Guy needs it.) Dabi probably played some with the others in the League of Villains, but yeah, likely it's not something he put a lot of time or effort in. Would rather read newspapers or stalk or look at newsfeeds to help his plans. Downtime is a mysterious thing for the League... Two of them are known to at least play video games? I'm sure Dabi was the kind to burn his opponent rather than gamble for something. Might and mental warfare rather than fair play. Can't lose when your opponent is a charred husk, right?

Information is actually something Allen has in spades since he's been here over half a year and is so intimately tied to beasts and corruption given his canon nature and the dumbly similar parallels -- and he's a scrappy survivor used to being homeless and in poverty in Victorian England. He picks up how to survive in strange places very quickly and has had a lot of time and made a lot of connections with people to hone that ljfd. If that's something Dabi wants he'll be incredibly up front with him on anything he wants to know, it's a nice change from having to carry vials of blood or bloodstones around. I think there are a few others things he'd offer, too. And that's a good idea re: mods! IDK if you know this, it's a small fact that's buried I think on the location page, but items from any and all possible other appable character worlds (that aren't magical/powerful) wash up all the time on the Farther Shores. Not as resource rich as being able to pillage a fully stocked store all at once, but even between events there's a constant floatsam and jetsam of random shit that could be found. And when I asked about things like the Moon Presence monastery Sanctuary is being made from and what I could let other characters find there, mods said there could absolutely be all sorts of Sleeper relics and items that were hoarded there from other worlds. Stands to reason then that there would be other similarly abandoned/ruined places (and hell they've said there are/can be castles) that might have similarly hoarded Sleeper artifacts they didn't understand that could be looted. I ask mods about a lot of shit. They're troopers for putting up with me...
4. HE KNOWS BETTER THAN TO INVITE THEM BOTH... he knows that would somehow just end terribly... especially for him... it's fine he'll just bond with you separately, god. brothers. Mental warfare is an interesting way to put it, because that's usually how Allen plays people with cards. It's usually witty retorts and verbal fencing for a grand old time lsdmfks. Who knows! We'll have to see how it plays out because it could go a lot of ways! But I think it could be really fun.

He pumped Shouto full of questions during their first interaction, kind of in exchange for letting his brother help him with changing his staples (don't think you're gonna get anywhere near that closeness, Allen). But yeah, he does want to know more about this place, about the ways to survive and make a living, and other such shit. Already has a general idea from being here for a while. Getting used to the different districts and all that. He's got a collection of vials and shit (and damn, maybe he should've grabbed a bunch of makeup because those things can easily be emptied out and then used as vials to store blood in...) Mostly it'd be information, since Dabi's not interested in collecting people's blood. Though he would want to know what sorts of things people do want here. Cause so far he's got "plants, shiny stones, and blood" as his main answers.
Whaaat? I did not know that! (Yes, there's a lot of buried facts running around there. I need to go reread stuff, cause initially it was drinking from a firehose type info deluge when I joined. Guess he's gonna be beach combing, though he does tend to avoid the docks since he doesn't like the whole fish reek. Or that's something Allen can tell him when they talk. Haha, all good information to know. Abandoned castles full of hoarded artifacts gives so many amusing images in my mind.
4. GOOD! HE'LL LIVE LONGER THAT WAY!! Look, they would've had a wonderful family if their father wasn't a damn monster of a madman. You should see Touya as an AU hero. He's so healthy and happy, nothing like this wreck he is now. It's sad... Yooo, he's welcome to try and mental warfare, but Dabi's usually one to play mental warfare games as well, and is very good at hiding shit and psyching people out or unnerving them. Might end up trading barbs or sit there and stare at him like a creep.
So just a rundown, we want to have them meet up for the trade thing first, and then the Sanctuary invite/visit comes after that?

2. I like that, it's a good way to establish a rapport that they're both invested in I think. (And no, gross, he doesn't want to do that thanks. Shoves staples and antiseptic at him to go do it himself like a big boy.) But yeah, all of that is stuff Allen's had to learn, and as Shouto noted after seeing it his daily routine is basically like Hero patrol with how he engages with citizens.... lmfao. Especially with merchants and business owners, so he has a really good feel for what people need, notably in Crenshaw and Willful Machine. It pays to be friendly and talkative.
YEAH... YEAH IT'S SUFFERING SOMETIMES... items washing up all the time from other worlds was one of the more recent hidden nuggets I realized. Missed it outright for ages. Also, there's a lot that hides back in old event write-ups; general setting stuff that sure, was common during that one month but is also less commonly around in other months. The good news about the shores they wash up on at least is that they go on for miles; it'll still smell like the ocean but hey, at least he doesn't have to stay where the all the fish get gutted. lol Good shit is gonna be less picked over further out too.
4. One day I will read this series just so I can get my heart fucking smashed by Todorokis. god. And ha! It would be the friendly sort. ... "Friendly". Allen has two very general ways he interacts positively with people: impossibly sweet/kind/sincere, or snarky and trading dry witty barbs that are mostly good-natured (okay, that's negative cr too when it's relaxed). Mostly. But he honestly finds it fun if the other person responds in kind and is a way he gets along with people, and something tells me it will veer in that direction with Dabi if they're civil, lol. But we'll see! He's impossible to predict like that, it depends on how other people react.
Yeah! Trade and information bartering thing first! Where Allen would have heard of this guy who scavenged a lot of useful things from other worlds and wouldn't realize it's Dabi at first... but figures it out by the time he's already committed to it/eh, what's the worst that could happen. And we can see where it goes from there.

2. Sounds good! (It was totally gross and he's done it forever, so stfu you pious pierrot.) Gross, hero patrol. Not about to do that, but he might become one of those "pay me and I'll take care of your problem" type hunters, so long as they don't stress the "take care of" part equates to non-fatal. Not gonna be a nice guy cause you paid him for it. They can talk more about it over the course of the meeting.
Ocean smell is fine, but fish guts and meat is off putting. He's not gonna gag if it's shoved in his face, but he certainly was quick to wave off his portion of fish to his ally. One of that "knock yaself out; i hate fish" casual things. So it's not a revulsion that'll hurl his guts. Still, beach combing. And good to know some of those event things can get wrapped up in the general lore of the game. I know when I was apping there were pieces of information I totally missed. Like the omens for one, haha! Didn't find out about those till after? (I mean, I think I had a general omen write up, but didn't realize they were customizable until it was pointed out.) Maybe he'll camp out there some night. Go further than normal. Then again, he can fly with his flames, so he can cover a lot of ground if needed.
4. Hah! If you think it's just the Todoroki's that'll smash your heart, be ready for a whole lot more. There's a lot of tragic shit in MHA, plus plenty of "aww" moments too. Totally encourage the dive. (Plus it's on its way to wrapping up, so a good time to jump in.) Guess he's gonna have to decide which one gets a better camaraderie out of Dabi. (Hint, the latter.) Cause he's never gonna get sweet/kind/sincere outta this guy. Well, maybe a sincere "I wanna burn you to a crisp" comment. But in all honestly, most of the time Dabi's pretty chill. Rude and sarcastic, but rarely acting out. He's more apt to ignore something than explode over it. Not worth his effort, kinda thing.
Okay, that's what I wanted to know. So the way I'd figure is that they wouldn't meet wherever Dabi has his shit stored (duh) but then work out a trade vocally at another location, before they go get their respective items and bring them back. The former could be done via omens if you like? Even if Allen knows it's him.

(he is the least pious person, he doesn't even give a shit about any god!! in fact he honestly kind of hates "god"!! when will people shut up about this and his being a priest, ugh) No one said you had to patrol!! gosh he's going to give you all the good inside information on who usually needs what and will pay or give favors without you having to do all that. You know there's another one of the guardian saplings that cleanses corruption out on the shores too, so if he camped there I'd laugh my ass off. Because that's where Shouto camped for a week while waiting for Allen to come back.
4. LMAO.... you know he figured out real quick from that dip into his soul what sort of person he is overall, and how that YEAH. THE SWEET AND KIND APPROACH... NOT SO MUCH. The closest I think he'd come, and his baseline, is a neutral sincerity and honesty. But laid back dry sarcasm is also his bread and butter when that side of him is engaged by the right cr so honestly, I'm kind of excited to see how that plays out. I love banter.
hmmmMMMMMMmmm. How do you visualize Dabi usually brokers his trades, since I presume he's also trading with npcs to get by? I was sort of envisioning if there's rumor mill around him and that there's a place he can usually be found for discussing transactions with people, Allen would try to track him down there to meet him first in person. (His omen, Tim, is also dumb good at that.) Even 100% knowing it's Dabi, that's actually MORE reason he wouldn't use omen or omni to contact him first. Because, just... after everything that happened -- the last thing he is going to want to have as the first time they exchange words after that is something over the network. Allen's old fashioned. Literally. Would that work?
The second thing that occurred to me, after they talk, is that if he has to go get the items then, he'd probably ask him if he could just bring them directly to Sanctuary -- and he'd even "pay" extra. Look. He's very able and can carry quite a bit in his wheelchair that Viktor modified, but if we're doing actual business here... come on. Which could actually be the segue between the two thread ideas itself actually? Invites him in to play cards and cleanse his corruption for a while.

2. Ngl, due to their first impressions, Dabi's gonna call him "priest" just cause Allen doesn't like it, not cause he thinks he really is one. Exorcist, priest, shaman, fake, whatever. Hey, if he wants to become an informant or point out hits, Dabi's not gonna turn the information down. Take some names of useful people to ask shit about. If he's willing to do it for free, then that's just bonus for him. He's take advantage of nice people all day.
... whelp, guess where he's gonna end up camping out. Without knowing. This tree makes him feel good, and that's a real rarity in his life, so park his burned butt there for a while. And collect beach shit along the way.
4. HA! Well most people's souls/minds certainly reveal their true nature. His is shattered, burned up, and twisted, so sorry not sorry Allen had to deal with Touya's major issues. Snark at him and he might tolerate the visit. So long as it's not continual, cause then that gets annoying. It'll be interesting to see how they go. And who brings up what sensitive topic first.
Well as for market trades, he's more keen to steal when he can rather than serve up his blood to someone. He did do a trade with "shiny stones" at one request, but probably asked around for what people wanted and then went to go see what he could find or do to procure that. Of course, if they changed their mind or tried to cheat him, then he probably altered the deal to "your life or the deal" sort of threat, cause he's murdered people for way less. So that's how I figure he does his deals. At first he'll work out something he feels is fair, then try to fulfill it; if they renege, he'll threaten them.
As for rumor mills, let me check the location page and get back to you on that. Cause he might end up haunting a few places where that's a thing. Likely something darker and back alley style. But yes, once I get a place down, I'm all for Allen hearing about some guy setting up deals (and then threatening to kill---or maybe has killed---anyone who goes back on the deal) and figuring out it's Dabi. Then he can hang out until Dabi shows up and they meet again in person. He prefers old fashioned as well, but is also quite good with using phones or whatever.
Oh that's a good idea! They could broker a trade and then Dabi could bring it to the Sanctuary, which would kick off the second part of the thread. I like that idea very much. (Gonna scoff at the wheelchair, but hey, brought that on yourself.)

And, Viktor is looking to see how bodies change in Trench, so the obvious choice is to monitor a pair of teenagers bc they should be growing. Allen and Shouto are going to end up being their guinea pigs. Since Shouto's given height is 176cm @ 15yo, I'm going to be following this chart (adjusted for 176 instead of 170) to theorize his current and future height (edit: somehow, the chart doesn't show up in Chrome but it does in Firefox). I'm going to give him 6cm in total between 15 and 18. I just don't know how I'm going to distribute it (2cm @ 16 or 3cm @ 16, etc). But for now, Dabi can at least know that he's growing/grown. I'm still working out the growth distribution, I'll keep you updated! I wanted to bring it up bc I figured Touya would notice these things, the schemer that he is! He pays attention to everything. While he doesn't like Shouto, and has personal grudges against him, the fact he left him alone after Endeavor passed out and he was grumpy over Shouto being his opponent this time around suggests that he sees Shouto more as a means to Endeavor's torment, rather than his "own" person to go against. He's a runner up revenge. (And like Touya has any right to talk about other people being an emotional wreck.)
Yeah, that's what you get for shoving your personal information down his throat, Shouto. He's already spied on your house after tracking down the address. (And either way, if Shouto's awake during the piggyback, he can give stupid directions.) Oh he's still hated, but Dabi might tolerate him a little more than normal.
