Maul gives a short bow at Wesker’s words. He might have precious few allies he can call upon, given how his personality tends to repel a number of people, but he knows that Wesker has the same sort of darkness within him that Maul himself possesses. They’re two of a kind and like will always find like.
Maul watches as Wesker cuts himself. The blood that rises up is fast becoming a familiar color to Maul given his own is the same, though the smell that wafts through the air is slightly different than the one that comes from his own wounds. He points to one of those that the crabs caused, a long scratch up by his shoulder. Though it has stopped oozing blood by now, the remnants of the green-tinged blood can clearly be seen. ’We are the same.’
