Time to cozy up with each other and touch base on ideas and plans you have for your ongoing character relationships! We strive for an open and friendly gamespace where everyone can feel encouraged to seek new CR opportunities or work on existing ones. It is not required to do the CR meme, but it's a good idea for keeping your thoughts in order and meeting some new people, and helping to establish what you've got going on in-game!

Character Name: Jin Guangyao! This is how he will introduce himself, though he may also occasionally be heard responding to Lianfang-zun when in Lan Xichen's company. If you call him Meng Yao, he'll pretend he didn't hear you.

Job Title(s): He is still trying to figure out the best use for his cultivation talents in Trench, but after funny misfire text conversation with Sasuke he is also investigating how plausible it might be to establish a postal service. At his heart he's a bureaucrat with a gift for successful public works projects, this is on brand for him.

Where they live: Jin Guangyao lives in a small siheyuan in Willful Machine with Lan Xichen.
Relationship Status: *sad violin music @ Lan Xichen and Shen Yuan* (they're weird about it, your honour.)
Other close CR: Lan Xichen (sworn boyfr brother), Nie Huaisang (government-mandated Littlest Martial Brother), Shen Yuan (he's cute, don't make it weird tho), Mike Enslin (token American with a proclivity for Hawaiian shirts)

Positive CR Desired: I'm most interested in developing Jin Guangyao's 'outer' CR circle at the moment, as I think it is highly unlikely he is going to have the emotional or psychological bandwidth in the near future for forging additional close connections with other characters. (Never say never, of course!! but this is my feeling right now.) If your character is interested in figuring out how they might be useful to the city and its citizens, Jin Guangyao might be a good person for them to stumble across.
Negative CR Desired: Let's keep it lower stakes; maybe just new neighbours who don't jive with each other, or maybe your character just can't help needling a guy who looks pathologically incapable of being rude under any circumstances. My ideal negative CR for jgy is "someone he will smile at agreeably and make polite conversation with while desperately seeking any possible means of extricating him from this conversation asap, send help," rather than "he will find a way to kill this person in their sleep."
Unwanted CR: see above!! again, I very much want to avoid CR that is grounded in casting jgy as The Villain in another character's narrative journey, tho I'm not opposed to something more nuanced. if you've got ideas you aren't sure about, hmu via PMs or plurk and we can chat about it. Also not interested in new romance plotlines, tho one-sided crushes in his direction could be potentially hilarious given the olympic lengths he will go to to avoid awkward social situations.

Day to Day Life: I keep his routine as up to date as I can on his info page. At present he is still recovering from his qi deviation at the end of October/early November, so he's moving a bit more slowly than he would like, but during the day you're likely to spot him either visiting the Sanctuary to soak in those positive energies, or just wandering about the city committing more details to his freakishly accurate memory banks.
Current Plans: He's got several irons in the fire at the moment; finding a way to be useful to Trench, recovering fully from his qi deviation, desperately trying to keep his closest CR from finding out all his terrible secrets (spoilers, two of them already know almost everything [almost]).
Event Plans: Jin Guangyao has gone on a quest to obtain mushrooms with Lan Xichen, Nie Huaisang, and Shen Yuan this month, and will be doing what he can to support Shen Yuan and Mike Enslin after their Sleeper Farm nightmare is over.
