Yeah I could see it turning that way, just Saeri would initially have a lot of Guilt. BUT the kind of bonding rune would influence how things turns out I think. Since bonding runes are about binding the two people together in one way or another.

Like they could go the soul-bonding route, the empathic link route, or the "i can track you if you get lost or hurt" route. The first two would be more intimate but would make it hard for Saeri to just...stay away. So it would depend on how you would want it to go about.
