We are happy to have you here! This is our OOC Introduction Post for players to introduce themselves and their newest character for the game.

If you are unfamiliar with introduction posts or game settings in general, this is a great opportunity to tell people the name you go by, your preferred pronouns and contact information, and a little about the character you're bringing into the game. Introduction posts are not required but they are a great way to meet other players and know what new faces will be in the game setting.

As soon as you are accepted into the communities, you can dive right into the fun and start making posts! No need to wait for events.

Hello and welcome! My name is Callie and I play Xerxes Break from Pandora Hearts, and Break's got super duper close CR with Ange. Long story short of all the traumas they could possibly share it's "one time my whole family got massacred in the span of a day while I was not looking and it kind of ruined my life", and so they've speedrun the adoption route and now he's her eccentric Victorian uncle. At the same time, while he's firmly Team Ange, he comes from a canon where traumatized people (himself included, though this is a secret) tend to end up in Contracts with demonic entities and commit a lot of murder over it. Because of this he's not without understanding of how and why the whole witch thing happens, and in Trench he goes the route of wanting to help people ease and overcome such feelings, since corruption can spark such things in everybody at any time.

You can see why Beato is relevant to his interests. Break is a darkblood himself and when Ange lets him know Beato is around, he'll be practicing with his powers explicitly to defend and then fight against witches just in case she ever needs him. But! He won't be openly hostile to Beato until she gives him a reason to be as he values sensible truces in this world where you can't solve your problems by killing them, and she can feel free to notice that when he isn't being a horrifying professional swordsman he's basically a weird fake AU Ronove right down to the cookie-baking. He's far too devoted to Ange to ever truly be Beato's friend or Sayo's, but whenever he's in a position to offer support to them that might prevent gross or violent drama down the road, he'll take it. After all, their stability also affects Ange directly.

There's definitely some interesting potential here! Especially since outside of like, mind-altering circumstances Beatrice is at a point where she actually doesn't really want to like, do much to Ange outside of be weird and mysterious and maybe harass her a little. She's from a canon point where she's basically given up on the game since the person she most wanted to understand it has failed to do so and so while she's still all board the revenge train, Ange is not actually on the list for the most part because she was too young to be a blip on Beato's radar.

So while she's not going to make an effort to reconcile barring other circumstances (Battler showing up, Sayo trying to get her to play nice) she's not actively hunting down Ange to torment her. At most, she's annoyed that Ange interrupted her game once or twice! So while she talks a big game and will say a lot of horrible stuff, the desire to actually follow through and do anything to Ange isn't really there. Even though she's still cruel and taunting to a stupid degree.

If Xerxes will remind her of Ronove, she'll probably want to try and become closer with Xerxes if only because she is a deeply lonely person who wants connection with others but is often too proud to come out and say it. Not to mention she misses her magic friends. I'll poke you on plurk! I'm gravenrose.

Excellent. He'll still be working with his powers because "prepared means no worries"; that was his arc in game anyway, he'll just ICly go at it faster now. But Beato having no reason to bother Ange is definitely his ideal! He'll help keep it that way if he thinks his meddling will matter.

His Ronove vibes actually run pretty deep past his cheerful surface trolling! He's not a proper butler, but his position in canon is as a servant to the local family of strong eccentric tea-drinking aristocrat women, and he's often out messing around in the action on their behalf. He's trusted to act independently because he always has their best interests in mind. I've only read up through episode 6, but Ronove parts that reminded me of Break are things like scolding Beato to be more dignified when she gets excited even though she's the one in power between them, sneakily acting to Beato's benefit when he was "supposed" to have moved on to serving Eva-Beatrice, and his taking a shine to Jessica during their fight to the point of granting her an extra moment to call Battler and warn him. It's one of the other reasons he and Ange click so well -- he's used to having a princess type to follow around, and while he teases the crap out of that princess and thinks it's funny to rile her up, his loyalty is something earned and his devotion comes from genuine affection.

He wouldn't be inviting Beato over for tea at his house or anything since it's one of Ange's safe spaces but he's usually out and about in Trench a lot and easy to find, and he'd definitely tolerate her when they crossed paths in public I think. He also has ties to his own canon's deeply lonely, under-socialized young lady wielding scary magic powers and sometimes engaging in death and torture on a whim, and in fact that girl (less murdery now) is in game and also one of his pretend nieces. If he comes to recognize the similarities in Beato, he's most likely to conclude that it's in everyone's best interests to be kind.
