WELCOME TO DEER COUNTRY!
We are happy to have you here! This is our OOC Introduction Post for players to introduce themselves and their newest character for the game.
If you are unfamiliar with introduction posts or game settings in general, this is a great opportunity to tell people the name you go by, your preferred pronouns and contact information, and a little about the character you're bringing into the game. Introduction posts are not required but they are a great way to meet other players and know what new faces will be in the game setting.
As soon as you are accepted into the communities, you can dive right into the fun and start making posts! No need to wait for events.

You are not required to play out the character arrival process and can merely handwave it happening. Characters do not necessarily need to remember experiencing the process either.

For those unfamiliar with DA2: Carver is a professional younger brother, who sometimes has a complex but less now than he used to. This particular Carver is a Grey Warden and has a lot of feelings about Saving the World, which is important to him in a gritty realism way. He's soft in the middle and it's very embarrassing, so he grumbles a lot and does not want to be Perceived. It's so hard to be Carver. He likes tough people and cute people and people who will banter with him, bonus for 3-in-1.
For the DA2 Grit fans: He's coming from a run with a mostly blue Marian who did not romance anybody and managed to soften baby brother with Friendship, just a little. He's also got both DA2 DLCs under his belt and, again: Warden.

-he had a horrible near death experience and now he is Something Else, more or less

Nara'a is the opposite - a mage in a family of hunters who ended up stumbling into forbidden magics that could get him arrested. He's the savior of the world many times over but he's also like "I just... did what anyone else would do???"

carver definitely did not volunteer for a career in world saving and he has some Thoughts about it, they can get into the grit of that too... rubs my hands together. please teach him to do spells properly also bc he's going to realize blood magic is a thing now and a) panic and b) suck at it.
