Player Plot: All Trenchy Karate/Combat Tournament
Hello, everyone! As presented by Johnny (Cobra Kai), Terry (Cobra Kai), and Ozpin (RWBY), please enjoy: THE ALL-TRENCH FIGHTING TOURNAMENT!
In canon, each teacher runs their own combat school. In Trench, they'll compete to see whose students are the most skilled! There are three phases to this plot.
1. JOIN A COMBAT SCHOOL

In early April, the three teachers will have a network post to advertise their services and announce the coming tournament.2. TAKE THE RIVALRY TOO SERIOUSLY
Do you want mentor/student CR? Does your kid need to learn how to swing a sword? Consider training with one of these teams:Training can be handwaved or played out (see below). Generally, you can assume weekly training, either 1-on-1 or in a group. For an example of training exercises, consider Johnny's beach bullshit, Johnny's quicksand bullshit and Ozpin's forest initiation.Johnny Lawrence's Cobra Kai: Johnny teaches "all-American karate": emphasis on kicking ass and getting babes. Unarmed training only. Includes wacky and dangerous junkyard obstacle courses. Learn '80s tropes from an earnest, well-meaning, deeply stupid man. Terry Silver's Cobra Kai: Terry teaches Cobra Kai karate: emphasis on psychological warfare, merciless violence, and being terrifying but polished. Some armed training, mostly unarmed. Does not include wacky obstacle courses. Training emphasizes discipline, threat assessment, sparring. Ozpin's Clockhouse School: Ozpin teaches shonen heroes to kill monsters. Emphasis on melee weapons (swordplay etc.), some unarmed training. Includes wacky and dangerous obstacle courses, but with a "rich English professor" vibe. Learn about teamwork, friendship, fairy tales, and drinking tea with too many sugars. Start Your Own! Anyone can join the tournament so long as they have a minimum of one teacher and one student associated under the same name. Feel free to form your own competing teams.
You can train with more than one team, but you'll only be able to represent one team in the tournament.
Also in early April, the teachers will have a catchall training log for teambuilding, mentor/student interaction, and shenanigans.3. LET'S COMPETE!
Please go hard on the shenanigans. We're talking property destruction. We're talking bullying of PCs on rival teams. Pranks, curses, drama, absolutely stupid shit. Switch sides and then switch back again. Escalate and then escalate some more. If you don't, the teachers will.
Sometime in May, the teachers will have a tournament log plus OOC tournament coordination post.
The tournament should consist of two parts: armed and unarmed. Your character can join either or both. The use of powers will be discouraged.
Matchups will be determined by RNG. Players will then have 24 hours to decide a winner amongst themselves, or leave the winner up to RNG. This will continue until a champion is decided.
Champions will take home cool and possibly magical prizes!

She isn't really interested in the competitive aspect of the tournament, but if she's strongarmed into doing it then she'll do it... Can't we all just practice our knee-breaking skills for the purity of knee-breaking?

Rose is Very Serious about what she's being asked to do, whether it's restraints (which she used properly in the TDM, she's so glad it worked!) or playing parkour in a junkyard. However, she's still a BB badass, so it prrrrobably wouldn't take much to beat her in an actual fight.
Tinya insists on remaining elegant and poised and looking for psychological weaknesses in opponents (thanks, mom) so she's a natural for Terry's teaching style, being graceful but can and will fuck someone's shit up. She'd been a super-hero back home and got plenty of practice of fighting there.
[EDIT] And apparently Lexi wants to side/study with Sasuke! I swear to Jesus, these characters get their own minds and volunteer on occasion.

She'll be entering the tournament for Team Clockhouse ultimately.

Deku is good at
parkourkarate(-like?) kicks, but he'll throw and punch too. He's "armed" with armored shoes that give blowback, but idk if that qualifies for the armed bracket? If so, cool! I'm also interested in adapting his capture technique with rope-like things. His background comes from combat capture/incapacitating. He can train and be trained. Safety first. Don't damage property. He can take a lot of pain. A fight isn't over until it's over. Threading with Deku will be MHA spoilers. I'll try to keep it to the anime, but no promises. This is rather public, so he could quit at any time, a warning he will ICly give due to "Hero stuff". He might sign up under a pseudonym. Sucks when you're a potential target of a supervillain. OOCly we have no plans for that, but who knows, maybe some KARATE DRAMA will happen!

he’s not exactly adept in fighting since he’s just your average pro volleyball player, but he’s been training diligently for a few months already with quite a few people! he knows a thing or two to at least attempt to handle his own via knife-fighting, hand to hand, some sword stuff and spears/staff work! thank you friends who have pitched in to help!
who knows, he might even have a surprise jutsu up his sleeve……… 👀 tho look at all u natural fighters and shounens, he probably won’t get too far but he gets points and gold stars for trying his best!!
