DECEMBER 2021 PLOTTING POST

Hello! We are trying a new style of event this December with archival-like entries that characters can ICly find in the Archives. This should allow characters to be able to plan against certain events that occur in-game and do research ahead of time, during the event, or after the fact.

The idea is that these prompts will provide you with all the possibilities characters could theoretically face from the prompt. We hope this leaves more open-ended opportunities for people to engage with. Anything mentioned in the excerpts could be an experience characters encounter. You can always ask for clarification on any prompt on the plotting page.

This is a way to keep all event prompts relevant since new characters would be able to "read up" on these events/excerpts by visiting the Archives or other such resources for information about past events and what they can anticipate from the setting.

We hope this new style makes sense and is fun for players to work with! They will rely on players creating more of the atmosphere than the prompts, but we think that the prompts will provide the perfect guidance as to what the atmosphere should feel like. Enjoy!

PROMPT 1: WINTER MOURNING

CONTENT WARNINGS: Spoilers for various canons, survival situations, forced memory share

[A passage from Rituals of Trench: Remembering Our Pasts reads the following:]

"A long-standing tradition to celebrate Bone Season is for Deerians to collect antlers and bones salvaged from natural resources and create decorative home accents. These antler-bone decors are known formally as Winter Mournings and can be found in almost every residential home throughout Deer Country. Winter Mournings can be made to look like wreaths, candle holders, or simply an antler with a bow hung up on a wall.

Winter Mournings is seen as a way to honor one's past tribulations and how one has managed to survive and overcome hardships during their life. Winter Mournings serves as a testament to survival and a willingness to keep surviving even when things look bleak and dismal.

Creating Winter Mournings is considered a blessing to the Pthumerians Dorothea, Remina, and Argonaut. You will know if the blessing was accepted once your Winter Mourning begins to glow like the moon. Touch your Winter Mourning and you will be pulled back in time to a memory of a specific time when you or someone else had to survive something physically or mentally challenging. For some, it is merely a memory that cannot hurt, but for others, you may want to proceed with caution as it has been known to pull people physically back to times of war.

One cannot choose which memory they wind up in if it is their own, a friend's, or a complete stranger's. Winter Mournings was designed to create a sense of union and empathy among residents and is meant to open your mind and heart to those who have suffered around you. It is time you explore your past, or someone else's past, with an open mind and see how the other side has lived through hard times. These memories are known to be from adolescence, adulthood, or sometimes even futures that have not yet happened or timelines you have never known. After all, Remina sees all past and all history. That means they see all of your past and history too.

No memory lasts forever though. Once the memory has been concluded, you shall be brought back to the present by the Winter Mourning Stag: a great white beast with a circle of frozen antlers. It will come to you when the time is ready, and you will return to the present like waking from a dazzling dream.

Experiencing Winter Mournings can stabilize one's mood and provide restful sleep after, even if the memories may be difficult to swallow. It truly is a tribute to honor past horrors and traumas. Some memories are painful to remember, but forgetting them will never do anyone any good either. So hang your Winter Mournings and remember what matters.

Survive another day. You are worth it."

FAQ

1. Winter Mournings can produce new memories every time you touch them or the same memory.

2. Characters cannot choose what the memory is.

3. Characters can arrive in each other's memories regardless of if they already know each other. Multiple people can experience the same memory.

4. You can either experience the memory as a memory you can't touch or experience - or you can physically be in the memory and have to survive the situation as well. If you die in memory, your body will die wherever you had been touching the Winter Mourning.

5. Palebloods are capable of altering memories or how they or others experience memories.

6. Characters can be pulled into memories at random - as long as one of the characters in the memory share is touching a Winter Mourning at first.

PROMPT 2: RUN, RABBIT, RUN

CONTENT WARNINGS: Themes of hunting, ghosts, curses, attempts at animal violence, hunting people based on blood types.

[An excerpt from Legends of Trench: Curses and Causations reads the following:]

"One of the most notorious legends of Trench is without a doubt the tale of The Huntress and the Hare. Most Trenchies have been told this tale since they were children, but for those unfamiliar, settle in.

This story begins with a mischievous god and an ambitious huntress. The Pthumerian Dorothea loved to play tricks on hunters trying to survive the Bone Season, setting animals free from traps and remaking the traps to catch the hunters instead. One day, a darkblood Huntress was fed up with Dorothea preventing her from catching food for her family and decided to settle the score. The Huntress began to hunt for Dorothea specifically, but it is no small feat hunting the god of trickery and survival.

The Huntress started to rely on her darkblood powers to alter reality to make the perfect traps. Innocuous trees turned into glue traps that anyone would stick to until they were freed by a darkblood or death took their pain from them. Walking through bushes would snag legs and necks, effectively trapping whatever creatures were unfortunate enough to wander for food. Magical snares and beartraps lock around victims with unrelenting force, leaving people and animals to try for help until they cry no more. While this took many innocent lives in the woods, animals, and people alike, it never seemed to work on Dorothea.

Dorothea continued to outwit the Huntress until she eventually drove the Huntress insane. The Huntress died without ever catching Dorothea, but they say her vengeful spirit awakens in winter and begins to set her traps yet again. The Huntress sends her traps and her dead animals after vilebloods and warmbloods to spite Dorothea and hope to maybe catch the god's attention. But Dorothea is no passive god. Dorothea spurs vilebloods and warmbloods to defend themselves against darkbloods and coldbloods.

Infamously, this has created enormous tension between the blood types during December some years, and it is said that the blood lust has caused the types to begin hunting one another regardless of old friendships and alliances. Beware the Huntress's curse. Some believe darkbloods and coldbloods can still hear her haunting commands and cries from the Trenchwood.

They say there is no ease for the tension between the bloodtypes until December has passed, but some believe palebloods may provide relief if they are willing."

FAQ

1. Characters will increasingly feel the urge to actively hunt one another using traps/etc.

2. The Huntress's curse includes undead animals/beasts chasing after warmbloods and vilebloods and magical traps. Players can invent unique traps for their characters.

3. There will be an innate urge to chase/hide from one another.

4. The curse can be broken by paleblood intervention, character death, or a gradual wearing off by the end of the month.

PROMPT 3: LOCKJOINT

CONTENT WARNINGS: Mild body horror, blood magic curses, physical curses, cures through blood ministration/blood letting, possible skin removal, injuries, possible death via starvation/exposure.

[An passage from The Sleeper Condition; Chapter 13: Bodily Aches and More. Found exclusively at the Lumenarium:]

"Generally speaking, Sleeper blood allows Sleepers to navigate this world without the fear of illness and disease. However, no organic body is perfect, and Sleeper blood has its own set of ailments to fret over. Blood Ministers have studied the phenomena of Lockjoint for years now and believe that it is linked to the crystalization found in Sleeper death, though the exact connection remains unknown.

Lockjoint tends to begin and last throughout Bone Season. Some Sleepers may never experience it, but for many, it becomes a reoccurring issue to dread each season. This condition forces blood magic to gather at the joints and effectively lock up. Sleepers find it difficult to move their bodies at the bends, fingers, knees, shoulders, etc without some form of discomfort. Minimal lockjoint can be painful and annoyance, but critical lockjoint can be fatal.

The most severe cases of lockjoint documented have shown Sleepers to have crystalization form over their joints, rendering parts of their bodies completely immobile. Some Sleepers have been found dead in this condition, all their joints crystallized, and it is believed most died from natural causes thereafter.

One can determine they are experiencing lockjoint when the coloration around the joints begins to darken in color, typically looking like a bruise. Calcification may occur rapidly the more magic a Sleeper uses or the more they expose themselves to outside elements. It is imperative that Sleepers remain properly clothed during Bone Season, even if they are coldbloods, and to invest in enchanted clothes that can lock in heat.

A known cure for lockjoint is the art of bloodletting. Puncturing the joints with small incisions seems to allow a release of the built-up magic and can provide immediate relief to the Sleeper. Catching lockjoint early is imperative. Alternative methods are soaking in hot springs and salted water.

Those who are in a more severe state will have to carefully have the crystals removed. This will likely remove the skin as well. Local anesthesia is highly recommended for the procedure. This process is known to leave scarring. The crystals can be saved and used as bloodstones from whoever they were harvested from. If you find a Sleeper dead from lockjoint, make sure to harvest the crystals as they are incredibly valuable.

This curse is believed to stem from Sleeper blood magic congealing within the body in contrast with the atmospheric magic of Bone Season. There is no known prevention for lockjoint. Lockjoint can impact all Sleepers regardless of bloodtype or the material their bodies are made from."

Timeline/Event Ideas: Winter Mourning. There are a few good memories here to share with Ruby.
- Her "death" at the end of the volume 8. Falling into an endless void.
- Some soft family moments sharing a fairy tale before bed.
- Talking to her mom at her grave.
- A few younger moments of a younger and less scared up version of her training and wanting to become who she is today.

Run Rabbit Run
Ruby is fully available to get all up in this event. She's a cold blood and pretty crafty with tools herself. So she'll be fashioning up traps and potentially getting caught up in the blood lust to go on the hunt herself, or protect others from being hunted. Down to clown to have her get caught up in some sort of trap herself.

Basically just down to clown with this prompt.

Other She'll be killing a Beast Mode Dipper Pines in the exorcism player plot so she'll likely be a little down by that and likely to fall into corruption over the next few months. Just as a note. She'll likely have a network post closer to the date of that happening.

What CR you would like to develop for this event: I'm up for any CR this month, though because of events in November, Reaper is starting his corruption slow-burn arc. However, he needs more friends and enemies.

Hunting
Reaper is a hunter, and he'll be effects of his blood. He'll be in conflict because he is a Darkblood but also that Dorothea is his patron pthumerian. So he will definitely be hunting vilebloods and warmblood specifically, but once he's caught them, he likely won't kill them unless they push him. Instead, he will probably give a lecture about survival. He's an excellent tactician, so his traps will be interesting and well set up.

He may, as a price, take blood from anyone he catches and hunts down.

Lockjoint

He is mostly smoke, so this condition will not be affecting him too much aside from the fact that his form will have more a crystalline form when he dissolves (black snowflake looking form). However, he has more than his share of experience making people bleed, and he has a medical kit, so he will be involved in the bloodletting. He needs to practice his combat medicine skills anyway as a salute to Eddie Kaspbrak.

Timeline/Event Ideas:

General: Klee is getting used to the winter. But I will have a more normal type building snowman post.

Winter Mourning: She doesn't have anything bad. So if you want to pull Klee into a bad/sad memory feel free to. She can't do much but hug a person at the end.

Run, Rabbit, Run: Yes, Klee is a Coldblood. But she will be setting traps that land with people getting stuck in the snow or trapped under a mound of snow the size of her. But it's mostly ineffectual traps because she is still to young to make them. So feel free to be caught by these traps or! If you remember she has bombs, you could get her help your character if you're a fellow Coldblood to trap others.

Lockjoint - Yes, she will be experiencing this slightly at first. I plan to have her think it just her being too cold since Mondstat. But she will get it bad later on where she needs someone to bloodlet because it spread quickly without anyone noticing. IE it's found one day and ooops the next it's grown a lot so. She's gonna to have some elbow scar and stuff. But it won't get to bad. Just scary for a moment before it gets better. To get to clue that this place is more dangerous than Mondstat

Timeline/Event Ideas:

General: Rapunzel will begin tapping into her Paleblood powers around the middle of the month after trying to calm Cassandra down from her coldblood aggression. Seeing how a lot of folks through event or blood stuff will be on edge, she'll be seeing if she can pull that off again, so if anyone needs a nice emotion bomb sedative, she can help with that!

Winter Mourning: The creepiness of making Bone Art will kind of fly over Rapunzel's head because she's mainly focusing on the ART aspect of it and the general meaning behind them. Rapunzel's... been through a lot. So that means she has a lot of memories of hardship to share with others. This will include:
- Her argument with Gothel, seeing the reveal of her "mother's" true nature and being chained up and forced to watch as Eugene is stabbed
- A mashup of memories from the blizzard that swept over Corona, including the uncertainty if her parents were alive out in the blizzard, being unable to help Varian and watching as he's dragged away by guards, and thinking Pascal had died during the attempt to reactivate the Demanitus Device
- Fighting against Varian and his robots and almost seeing her parents and Cass killed by him.
- Being turned into a bird; stuck long enough in bird form that her mind and sense of self was almost completely eroded by the mind and instincts of a normal bird
- The events of the Great Tree, having to use the Decay Incantation (and again feeling her own will slip away from her) to hold back a possessed Hector to stop him from killing her friends and seeing Cassandra's hand burn and decay as she tried to snap Rapunzel out of the thrall of the spell.
- Cassandra's betrayal, from taking the moonstone to lashing out as Rapunzel tried to reach out to her before running off.
- Everything surrounding Cassandra's return to Corona and their big blowout fight

There will probably be more bc Raps has had an upsetting amount of hardship in the span of like two years for such a sunny disney princess, but those are the big ones.

Lockjoint: Rapunzel's going to have a bit of trouble with this one. She's going to catch a moderate to severe case of it. In the early stages of it she'd prefer to soak in the springs instead of bloodletting, but it'll still eventually catch up to her; not enough to kill her or completely immobilize her, but it'll get bad enough to start crystallization creeping up from her fingers and wrist. She'll, uh.... she'll definitely need help with that.

Monthly Pacing: Generally very slow due to work/IRL sapping the energy out of me (hospitality/service is it's own level of Hell) but I'll be having an extended holiday towards the end third of the month so I can do more things then!

What CR you would like to develop for this event: Pretty much on board for anything, really. Luna's a witch so other witchy-types are always welcome, she likes learning about other forms of magic and has been taking an interest in occult magic. I'm also always down for her getting some more lady-cr whether it be friends, sister-type relationships or motherly-relationships. She's also a teenager (she is 19!), so others around her own age would be wonderful. Additionally, she's always a good with those in need of soft, kind CR; she's very good with outcasts, lonely sorts.

Timeline/Event Ideas:

— general; Luna is not doing so great this month. Last month was very difficult on her emotionally/mentally due to the Sleeper Farm, having a fight with her dadly-figure John and then one of her oldest friends Diarmuid leaving. She's currently experiencing some low-levels of Corruption, which while I need to pop into a journal post in short is as follows: She is tired, slightly sickly in appearance with pale skin and, eyes a little sunken. Her eyes seem to shimmer pearly white on occasion, somewhat similar to an animal's eyes when caught in the light. She's also suffering from insomnia; having difficulty focusing and easily confused. She's also easily emotional/upset, she having a very weepy month. I'm planning on Top-Levelling this month, which will likely include some catch-all prompts to play with.

Additionally, she's finally gotten access to her blood power at the start of the month which comes in the form of Prophecy similar to Seers in the Harry Potter universe. Her prophecy was related/warning of the tensions between blood types and to the Huntress' Curse. Unfortunately, she doesn't remember any of it (barring any details Paimon may have happened to pick up in the panic of it all).

— Winter Mourning; VERY INTERESTED in playing around with this prompt, especially with Luna experiencing other people's memories. Being Paleblood, Luna will be able to manipulate/alter the memories of others she interacts with — maybe offer to quieten sounds of them or blur them so they're less distressing to the other person. Essentially help them be less horrific to re-experience. In terms of memories of Luna's that others could experience, I'd be good with playing out:

Pandora's death; Luna's mother died when she was only nine, something she witnessed herself when inventive magic Pandora was working on when horribly wrong. It's still something that really sticks by her due to the traumatic nature of it, and might be a good bonding point for anyone who's dealt with parental death, not to mention the darker/destructive side of magic.

Her torture at the hands of Death Eaters; Essentially one of the times Luna was interrogated by Death Eaters at the height of the Second Wizarding War during her imprisonment at Malfoy Manor. While Luna has already witnessed this memory in Deerington once before, it was while she was under the effects of Death-related amnesia. This one would be extremely traumatic for Luna to experience, considering it's still quite recent/raw trauma she's never really been able to address, especially considering it's war-related trauma.

— Run Rabbit Run; As a Paleblood, I'm definitely down for having Luna try to ease the tensions between other bloodtypes, maybe soothing them down to stop them from wanting to participate in the hunt. Additionally, she'd be around to help free people from traps with the use of her magic.

What CR you would like to develop for this event: More friends closer to his age! He's got a lot of folks looking after him but I'd love him to have kids his age to get him into trouble and teach him to do bad stuff.

But I also love a good mentor figure and Kaworu is prime for it.

Timeline/Event Ideas: ALL ABOUT THAT MEMSHARE BABY. I really want to go in and show why exactly Kaworu is such a weird little creep. We don't really get any information in his backstory other than he was raised by bad organization to cause the end of mankind and viewed as little more than a tool. So CWs for child neglect and mistreatment as well as medical are definitely in place here. Nothing with him being struck but definitely not cared for. Some ideas:
-Showing him as a very small child in a facility, getting checked to see how well he syncs with prototype Evangelions and wondering why he doesn't have friends like in the kids in the work books he uses to learn English, Japanese, and German
-Being told about his purpose to bring an end to mankind and a world without pain, only to also be told he will initiate but not be part of the new world because he is an angel. He will simply cease to exist.
-Being restrained told off for causing some sort of trouble and being reminded that SEELE could destroy him if he doesn't behave.

Also closed prompts are awesome and good if we have CR or what to get CR??? Would love to do something that actually shows what an Evangelion is because it is like... you know... in the title.

Otherwise for Lockjoint...

Anyone wanna chill in a hot spring with a weirdo?? He knows this is something people do so he will want to do it VERY BADLY. He'll also get way too close... sorry...

Run, Rabbit, Run: (I was looking for a reason to use that song...). Himself will be having a little fun with Krampus lore, scampering about rooftops while wearing sheepskin leggings under his usual leather hunter's robe and wearing a goat mask with horns instead of Locrian's corvid mask. Given the month's effects, he might be targeting homes of Darkbloods in particular, even using smoke grenades salted with his own blood to cause confusion.

🐤 i’m keeping the blood influences in mind that’ll tie well with falco’s happenings this month, so he’ll be extremely emotional and emotionally unstable especially depending on who he’s interacting with! he may be able to calm others down and has a natural inclination to do so, so any who would like that can come for him!

🐤 falco has an exorcism/possession player plot currently rolling here that takes place early december! he will be dying as a result, but those who would like a chance to fight a giant bird solo or in a group is welcomed to join in! icly, this will all be happening on the 7th but will be posted on the 11th.

Winter Mournings: I love this prompt and am down for Lucille experiencing someone's memories. Lucille's entire life is pretty dark and depressing, and she may react poorly to someone seeing her memories, but I'm up for it. Memories may include:

Lucille's Childhood - She may be seen protecting her brother from her abusive parents, or plotting out the murder of her father or mother. I may do a memory where she's seen with her brother making a quick escape after murdering her mother, only to be caught and thrown in an asylum.

Adulthood - Thomas's death, or enduring Edith's entire existence, probably.

Deerington - She's had her fair share of challenging encounters in Deerington, so I'd be more than happy to revisit some of those.

Timeline/Event Ideas: Early in the month Kyle will be off-and-on struck by Trickster Mode as he tries to fix the situation. So if you would like a candy-coloured ray of positivity who might casually alter reality for the dumbest of reasons, he's your man.

After that he's going to be feeling pretty shitty both from the comedown and emotional fallout from that, and because of the general stress for Darkbloods this month. His powers are going to be more unpredictable, which can result in some accidental magics or in not being able to do jack shit when it's important that he do.

Winter Mourning: definitely up for this. You can haul Kyle into any traumatic memories your character has and he'll do his level best to be a supportive problem solver. He might scream a lot first.
If you'd like to experience some memories, I am totally up for sharing some of Kyle's as well. His canon is, uh. Absurd. But in a world where you take it seriously, he has plenty of deeply disturbing things in his past.

Lockjoint: Kyle has a history of poor health, and he's been enjoying his apparent immunity in Trench so this will be a fun "hey, fuck you, buddy" for him. Winter Mourning:
Michael doesn't have a ton of memories of being in actual physical fights, so most of what he can share is just times of extreme stress. These can include:

- Watching Michael apparently have the time of his life at a demon party! You'll be able to feel the fact that he's basically having an internal panic attack the entire time, but it's extremely incongruous with what you're seeing.
- Seeing Michael get threatened by his old boss and then have a very real and out in the open panic attack! These are almost exclusively panic attacks lbr
- Michael, under duress, confessing to having been a fire squid this entire time. This falls a little more flat now that literally everyone is a squid, but he still feels weird about it.

None of these are incredibly juicy, though, so unless someone wants one, I'll most likely just tag out for this. Michael is extremely hard to shake, and he's disinclined to be judgey; he could offer compassion for a wide range of bullshit.

Run, Rabbit, Run:
As a Darkblood and a demon who already especially enjoyed chasing and screwing with people back in the old days, Michael will definitely get caught up in the urge to hunt. Early in the month, this will look more like pranking. He might ambush people to spook them or set up harmless traps to startle them - think stuff like a big fake spider or a cartoon net dropping down. At this point, he'll maintain enough self-control that he doesn't want to harm anybody, just get one over on them and laugh.

This will escalate towards the end of the month, as the curse feeds into his first bout of corruption. His traps will become more dangerous; nothing that would cause immediate death, but certainly things that could badly injure, and kill if left alone long enough. He may also use his Darkblood powers to just fuck with people, getting them lost in the streets or convincing them that they're being hunted by something a lot bigger and badder than he is.

I'm neutral as to how far his corruption should go right now. He might be talked down from the curse by a Paleblood, and thus settle down, or else he can just go all in on being terrible. If he is convinced to stop, though, he's likely to ricochet from an infernal corruption straight into a celestial one.

Paul Atreides | Dune

Paul is used to being part of a whole, and being isolated is wearing on him. He's going to try to form meaningful connections with a variety of people in whatever ways he can, starting with making himself useful in the community. Basically, I'm open to any new CR as Paul tries to get his bearings in Trench.

What CR you want to avoid this event: Nothing. Paul doesn't go out of his way to make enemies, but that doesn't mean conflict is impossible, so if it comes up it comes up.

Timeline/Event Ideas:
- Paul isn't aware of this yet, but he's experiencing the first stages of corruption. This is manifesting as difficulty falling and staying asleep, a sense of foreboding, and vivid recurring dreams of wandering the city and always ending up in the same place. This is further compounded by the impatience he feels as a paleblood this month, and it's why he isn't staying in any one place for very long - he sleeps more at the archives than any other one location.

- The first thing Paul is doing after finding out about the happenings this month is going to the Archaic Archives in Gaze and starting an intensive study of everything he can get his hands on about Winter Mournings.

- After a few days, about a third of the way through the month, Paul will start splitting his time between research and collecting. This is when he'll be most involved in the Huntress's Curse. He might fall victim to someone else's hunt or trap, or intervene as a paleblood to calm someone down or help someone escape danger.

- For Winter Mournings, Paul is making as many of the antler-bone figures as he can gather the materials for. Whoever's memories he ends up in, he'll offer to use his paleblood abilities to alter them if they wish - he'll explain that he wants to practice using them. If they say no, he'll respect that unless he's at risk of dying. His assistance, if given, will be sincere, but he is still learning. Things might not always go the way he intends.

- Of course people might also end up in Paul's memories. There's no shortage of traumatic events to go through. Some examples include the downfall of his ancestral house, a trial of pain, a grim moment of vision, and the first time he killed someone.

- Due to Paul's increasingly obsessive focus leading to self-neglect, Lockjoint is going to be a recurring issue for Paul all month. He'll resent the time he has to spend dealing with it and the disadvantage it puts him at. It's hard to construct his increasingly complex ornaments with stiff fingers.

- Towards the end of the month Paul will finally be pulled into the very specific personal memory he's been searching for. That part is a closed event, but the subsequent emotional fallout will last the rest of the month.

Timeline/Event Ideas: Winter Mourning Willow's a Paleblood, so I'm definitely down for her either changing up how a memory is perceived, or just outrigh stopping something she doesn't want to see, or have your character see.

Possible memories for her could include:

Vampire AU - Willow unintentionally pulled her vampire counterpart into her world from another dimension, trying to help Anya recover what she claimed was a lost family heirloom. The vampire cornered Willow in the library and intended to turn her, but Willow was able to sedate her with a tranquilizer gun.

Graduation Day - Willow's graduating class was attacked by the town's mayor, an immortal sorcerer, who turned himself into a giant snake demon. She saw the high school principal eaten, and several students killed.

Fighting Glory - Furious after an actual hellgod stole her girlfriend's sanity, Willow lashed out and attacked Glory in her own home. She would have been killed had Buffy not rescued her, but she did manage to do some harm as well.

Run, Rabbit, Run Willow's a Paleblood and has some low level corruption going on. Along with her empathy, there's a chance of her mirroring the emotions of those around her. She will probably try to talk your character down if she finds them considering going on the hunt, and either succeed, or end up encouraging them because she starts mirroring their emotions instead of focusing on being calm.

winter mourning: i love this omg so ... i'm very down for all sorts of memories. samatoki's will probably be difficult ones around when his sister was kidnapped and all the strife he faced in his previous game ( CRAU info here ). the former will be intangible memories, while with the latter the characters will have to survive that as well. choose your poison

run, rabbit, run: i'm down for having samatoki help free someone from traps or knock a coldblood or a darkblood's sense back into them, as he's a paleblood. he'll probably be actively seeking out the hunters himself to help ground them again.

lockjoint: i'm ok with samatoki being afflicted or having him help the afflicted with his blood ministry skills. eventually he'll need saving too probably.

The memory will be from his childhood. You'll be transported to an expansion of THIS scene meeting a baby Shouto (5) fighting off his father for yelling at and hitting his mother. Tread lightly.

- Run Rabbit, Run
Todoroki is a Paleblood, so he'll be trying to stop as many of these hunts as he can. He'll be intervening as much as he can, but let me know if you'd like to plan anything specifically.

- Lockjoint
Canonically speaking, Shouto is used as a make-shift hot-spring. He can use his left side which doesn't use magic since it's genetic (I hope that's how that works!) to warm up any body of water for a hot-spring soak. He'll be offering these services throughout the month just kind of needs to sit in a pool and heat it up. I mean, he already did it for his classmates in the middle of a winter storm, so it's no big deal really.

Timeline/Event Ideas:
Winter Mourning Very very down for memshare. He's going to be putting up a mourning because he's nosy and loves poking around in other people's thoughts. That being said, the mourning is a two way street, and the Medicine Seller's memories are a trip and a half.

Some options for memshare:

The tragedy of the Bakeneko (CW for kidnapping, rape, abuse, serial murder, suicide by starvation, animal death) This is a memory of witnessing a memory; an incident that pretty much completely jaded the Medicine Seller. The long and short of it is a lord kidnapped and murdered women after subjecting them to horrific abuses. One of those women was Tamaki who formed a bond with a cat that she cared for at her own expense. This cat became the Bakeneko and 25 years after Tamaki's death, it took its revenge on the lord and his family. After the Bakeneko slew the family (quite gruesomely) the Medicine Seller vanquished the Mononoke, severing it from its vengeful feelings and letting it move on with Tamaki.

"Do you really believe that you were saved?" - That time the Medicine Seller indirectly confessed that he had fallen in love with Ochou and was sad about it.

"What do you fear the most?" - That time a one-legged fish made the Medicine Seller experience his worst fear.

Some Fucked Up Shit - the Medicine Seller has seen a lot of horrific monstrosities over his time. Take your pick of giant amorphous cat monster with too many teeth, the shadowy squid with a messed up eye, the umbilical cord ball with eyes, and whatever the fuck is going on here (CW for body horror pertaining to eyes).

Run Rabbit Run As a paleblood, he's happy to help put a stop to any aggression. ...Or redirect it.

Lockjoint He'll be available to help with minor cases of Lockjoint, and selling anesthetics to those more capable of actual surgery.

Winter Mourning
Definitely want to do a LOT with these, since Will has a metric fuckton of scary memories to choose frim (blanket warning for child endangerment for...all of these lol):
-The whole damn possession saga, including the truly horrifying hospital scene where everyone realizes Will isn't Will anymore, the shed scene where possessed!Will makes all kinds of lights flicker and is true horror movie material and the scene where actual Will breaks through enough to send a Morse Code message to his friends/family, telling them how to kill the monster inside him (and...by extension, him :)). Lots of fun!
- Will's abduction into the Upside-down and whatever he went through there, subsequently -- he was there for a week, and somehow managed to survive?? That'd be fun to relive in exquisite detail.
- From Deerington itself, his repeat possession in the spring before the town fell apart, wherein he ended up killing his own mom. He has deliberately tried not to think about that at all, so being forced to face it could be interesting.

Run, Rabbit, Run
As a Paleblood, Will is absolutely down to provide reassurance and comfort to any of the other blood types who are on edge/paranoid about this time of year. Being able to actually DO something to help is actually going to be a huuuuge relief for him.

Lockjoint
Will is definitely going to get a mild case of this during December, because lol what is self-care? Totally open to play this out and have someone sit him down and tell him to take care of himself, damn it, or just have him be achey and grouchy all month. When he finds out that making crystals is an option, he might...actually be interested in letting it play out, because he's been wanting some of those dank Paleblood gems. Someone please stop him.

This will involve her trying to at least be a little more involved with other people, probably some meditation too, but some people are bound to see a little of it manifesting, especially when Pale Bloods are supposed to be on edge this month!

Winter Mournings

Just to switch things up, instead of having Luz have Deerington flashback I think Luz will instead be preoccupied with memories of the past. This includes:

Her first crush on a girl that ends in disaster (non canon since we don't really know about Luz's past, but its implicated that she'd been sweet on people and has been ridiculed for it.

The first time she performed the light spell (and her first actual spell period).

Her first real loss (AKA almost being killed/seeing Eda turn full owlbeast/being told to go back to her world/walking back alone to the Owl House without Eda

Enchanted Grom Fight AKA big gay dance with Amity (which Luz did not know was big and gay at the time but in retrospect will be face palming until eternity).

Lockjoint

Because of how frantic Luz will likely be this month, one day she'll wake up and won't be able to move her legs. Panic ensues and Luz will come face to face with the notion of just being motionless and will hate every minute of it!

She'll likely be in a few Run Rabbit Run scenarios for other people! Luz is a helper, after all!

When she allowed herself to be convinced to ride a scary/possibly haunted bus because a pretty girl (Rei) would ride on said haunted bus from time to time, Usagi then became so enamored she uh... followed Rei home and got (rightfully) ofuda'd in the face for it by Rei. Thus beginning their life-long friendship!

(maybe if there is interest) 2. When she was kidnapped by Prince Demande and awoke in his bed in a completely different outfit. This one WOULD come with the content warning of sexual assault, stalking, and kidnapping.

(Definitely) 3. The 100% Lunarian Princess Serenity sneaking away to Earth and discovered gasp! You! A human! Or a creature of Earth, in any case, and being absolutely FASCINATED by you and wanting to ask you a million and ten questions about your planet.

(Definitely) 4. When her enemy, Galaxia, murdered all her loved ones and then reanimated their bodies to be her puppets and forced Usagi to have to kill them. There will sort of be a fuzzy time skip that leads to Usagi being told that if she DOESN'T destroy the place where all life is born, that the great cosmic war will continue forever, and eventually there will be such a cataclysmic event thousands of years later that the universe may not even recover from that battle. But the catch is that no more lives will EVER be created in the universe.

Timeline/Event Ideas:
-In early December, he'll still be rooting around the boats stuck in the ice for any more supplies that can be gathered. Since he's a coldblood, he can help you with the chill inside the boats if you're also out there.

-And on the heating front, Lucius is low-level angrier than normal this month thanks to the blood effects. Which means that he's radiating heat, because he can't control the emotions warming his surroundings part of his powers yet. Do you want a walking space heater that will be very annoyed with you? Of course you do!

-As the month goes on, he will be setting up some traps, mostly around where he's crashing in Crenshaw. These will be classic low-tech hunting traps, for the most part. Feel free to catch him setting them, or get caught in one!

-His blessed day is the 21st, though he won't be doing anything with the gift right away.

-Later in the month he may also develop some mild signs of lockjoint as a way to force him to accept invitations to stay someplace with proper heating.

-And throughout the month, there will be Winter Mourning options! Lucius is being very careful to observe local tradition/superstition since that seems like a good way of avoiding the worst shit. He'll be creating a number of these, and may brush up against more out and about elsewhere.

MEMORY OPTIONS:

1. want to see a man start an attempt to cut down a very ill woman in the middle of the street and get interrupted by an 11-year-old attacking him? come see the life-changing event that happened a year ago for Lucius, in which he both kept his father (derogatory) from murdering his mother and earned respect from the man!

2. this will be a headcanon option featuring someone casually treating Lucius's life as disposable. highlight of this one will be that you get to hear him being called Askeladd instead of Lucius.

3. well, this one's weird! there's a feral teen out for revenge against a middle-aged man, who's a complete asshole who goads the teen into losing. but neither of these people are in Trench? who's Thorfinn? who's Askeladd? (bonus points if someone assumes that Lucius will grow into Thorfinn and not Askeladd)
