It's not the traditional words that had been used for generations before Ezra was born, no. But the important parts of his path as a Jedi, that one that Kanan set him on, are there, Ezra thinks. Teaching. Learning. Leading by example. Compassion. The Force.

Ezra's faint, solemn smile doesn't waver as Obi-wan steps forward, but his eyes widen a little - he honestly hadn't expected more than maybe a congratulations. Certainly not this spontanous heart felt blessing. But his teachers have always come through for him, when he's most needed it, haven't they? Even if it's not been in the way he thought he wanted, or could even imagine.

That will always be true, in a way, because no matter what else changes, wherever his path takes him, their lessons and love will always be with him. They will always be connected through the Force.

He blinks hard, eyes damp from hope and joy crashing through him, before he gathers himself to raise back to his feet.
