He knows where the most nearby lantern is, and thankfully it should only be a short trip using that to the house-dojo. It's the safest place he can think of for the two of them to talk.
He is definitely still glancing at Chozen though, just to make sure the other can walk well after all that, ready to slow his pace to match the other's if necessary. 'Not frantic' doesn't always mean the same as 'not overthinking' in Daniel's case, not when it comes to considering others. ]
