They could get lost together, and that might even be fun. It's been so long since she's been lost, and not in the horrible, metaphysical way.
How Ariane feels, however, is a complicated question. It's her turn to look inward, although Elster might be able to guess, based on her slow pace and tendency to lean upon the other. ]
