A soft, gentle smile graced Luke's lips at that, his stance relaxing slightly at the clearly unplanned, honest confession.

"I understand," he said softly, before peering up at the other man, really looking at him. He was inhumanly pretty, much in the same way D was, and it didn't take much for him to put two and two together from that observation alone. Unlike D, though, Luke couldn't pick up the undercurrent of self loathing -- pride was there instead, but also a deep sense of understanding and... gentleness? He wasn't sure if that was the right word, but he was certain of the fact that he didn't need to be worried or afraid to be near this man.

He stepped aside after a moment, gesturing for him to leave the shop.

"I'm willing to listen, if you want to talk about it, but it may be best to do so outside," he offered.
