Lan Xichen is kneeling beside the stranger when he opens his eyes.
"Zongzhu, actually," Lan Xichen corrects. And then gives pause.
Slowly, he raises a finger to his lips, curved in a conspiratorial smile. "But that will be our secret."
(Not really a secret when there are already three people in Trench who know he's the Lan Sect Leader but let him have his fun.)
"Lan Xichen," he introduces himself. "Take your time and get your bearings. Then we can go up."
