"I did, you're a good person and a good student. I told Hotaru about our lessons in cooking when she asked if I would teach her. She's a pretty good student too."

And while technically Hotaru wasn't his age, they were around the same developmentally and physically with how quickly she'd been growing and adapting. She might have even gotten a bit past him at this point, it was hard to tell.

"She's really polite, but hasn't had a chance to make many friends."
