"Yep." And he's not insulted. Given how fantastical everything else seemed to be, frankly, he was ecstatic that he didn't have to worry about magic blood. "My partner is too. There doesn't seem to be a lot of rhyme or reason to who's given what when they get here as far as we can tell."

Adam licked his lips, nodding. "That seems to be the gist of it, yeah. Things like being scared or startled can jump-start it, but some people can just call it up on their own. People who have powers where they're from seem to have an easier time of it."
