And he says this not even knowing that Robby is a Warmblood. Blood is just that handy.

"But blood that's never been extracted for the purposes of blood magic is rare, powerful, and very valuable. Plenty of people will try to trick you into parting with it for less than it's worth, but the right buyer will pay a high price."

Ford looks a little interested, in fact, but he busies himself with adjusting his coat on his shoulders a moment later. He's learned a few things about tact since he came here, and one of those things is that asking a random teenage boy if he can buy his blood is kind of an alarming thing to do.
