The question is worded a bit awkwardly, but Ford (assumes that he) gets what Robby's getting at. For some reason, it's question people think to ask him a lot.

"Not exactly. Magic and the supernatural exist, but you have to go looking for it. Trench is more open about its weirdness." He says that last part like it's a good thing. "But I made an entire career out of 'looking for it', so it didn't take much to adjust to Trench, and Trench hasn't changed much since I woke up. Now--"

He looks Robby over again. The shapelessness of the Sleeper robe makes it hard to gauge much about his stature or body language, but his quick reaction and defensive response when Ford nearly bumped into him are a different story.

"Are you used to being in any sort of combat situation? I wouldn't call fighting skills necessary, but they do make things easier."

Ford has no qualms with walking any child into a dangerous situation, but even prefers it if said child is prepared for danger first.
