Timeline/Event Ideas: Ryunosuke might not go into the sea to look for sunken treasure unless you catch him collecting the plankton in a jar and convince him. He's curious about the glow itself but he might be convinced to join someone into the depths to treasure hunt. He's always down for a good mystery.
As for giant squid time, he's not going to go that route but will help those in need. Blood transfusion? Sure. Fighting off one? Also sure but he's a ranged fighter which might not necessarily be a good thing, but he will try!
I might see how I feel about the flood water, and debate on what sort of obsession he might deal with if I want to go that route at all (probably obsessed with knowledge, which might be him hoarding books or the hunter's journals). Otherwise, he will help people protect their homes from the flood waters so that it doesn't cause too much damage.
