Jessica frowns, and suddenly remembers the implications of a possibly infinite number of worlds. Hadn't she briefly, but desperately clung to the thought that the Sayo in her world, the Ushiromiyas of her world, would never commit those murders? Hadn't she been forced to acknowledge that it didn't matter, because on some level they were the same people?
This is probably a different Battler than the last one. The thought makes her dizzy. It feels... lonely, knowing that she'll never see that Battler again, let alone any of the people she knew from her own world. But this is still Battler. She's already accepted this.
