[ Even though he doesn't mention anything about it, Daniel is inwardly chewing on that 'I don't need them' for a moment or so. After all - in this sort of place it's hard to tell what exactly that means. If they were in his world, he would take it as someone pretending to be too cool for playing carnival games. Daniel has been younger. He knows what that's like.
But this place is different. So many worlds seem to come together here in Trench. Worlds in which things are possible that Daniel would never even be able to imagine in the place he comes from. It's entirely possible that 2B is some sort of lifeform that doesn't need or understand fun, as.. odd as that idea is.
When she continues and actually asks him a question though - by the time Daniel has turned the young child back to the game as she energetically starts throwing the balls again - he opts to focus on said question instead. ]
That's the goal.
[ He could leave it at that, but.. well, this is Daniel. He would never, not without passing along some positive encouragement. It's how he works. ]
But even if they aren't all knocked over.. that's fine too. It's not about winning, it's about having fun. [ Look at this stereotypical Dad over here.. the Dad Vibes are off the radar, especially when he laughs as the kid knocks over another can. ] She's getting there though!
[ Hey, he's not going to mind cheering on a random kid, as long as it makes the tiny girl happy. 2B can see how the game is played at the same time because of it, anyway. Maybe she'll end up seeing the fun in it after all. ]
