There's still an entire storm's worth of emotions raging on within Ange. It's such a mix too of so many things, so many emotions that she's mostly had to keep to herself for a long time now, because it just wouldn't make sense to tell anyone else about them. Because at least half of them make her feel totally ridiculous, or way too childish.
What is she supposed to do about any of those now, when she's finally face to face with her brother? What is she supposed to say or do when even just seeing his dumb face, or hearing him speak, already feels like so much? Sure, he was here for a little bit only a little while ago, but then he disappeared again, and.. and she had truly thought that meant he was gone forever.
Ange sucks in a long, shaky breath, determined to at least not cry. Even if she's digging her nails into the ball she's still holding now for it, because she's on the verge, and it takes a lot to hold back the tears.
".. I'm here," she slowly says. Even her voice is a little shaky, like Ange is trying hard to put up a brave face even now, but she's slowly faltering. "I'm alive."
She doesn't shrug off his hands on her shoulders - perhaps the most clear sign of all that she isn't actually angry with him, as much as she's just dealing with a lot all at once.
"That moment.. It's been years for me since then."
Even though she does vividly remember it. She instantly knows what Battler is talking about, after all. If she'd close her eyes, she could bring herself right back to the sensations of that moment, like it's been burned into her mind.
