Re: 4. The Desolation

Character Name: Keith

How will this Leitner impact them? Just for the sake of sanity and the fact that I don't want to get into harming animals (Keith has pets), we're going to stick with the minor effect here. He'll think at first that it's just his cold blood powers getting out of control, so he's likely to ignore it for a long time, not realizing it's the book doing it to him.
Any CR or threads you're seeking with this? Keith will have to face his fear of being left alone. He has some pretty deep seated abandonment issues, and this causes him to react strongly in regards to protecting people he cares about, but also trying to not let himself care so strongly in case he loses them.

How susceptible are they to the compulsion? Keith is being affected by the cold blood impulsivity and adventurousness this month, so he'll risk reading things, definitely. Also, this is a big issue for him emotionally, so it'll be hard for him to face.
What will they want to do with the Leitner? At first, it's just about reading it. He'll probably feel really compelled to actually finish it. But, once someone helps him realize that it's making him go through this, he'll want to ditch it or destroy it. He won't want someone else to have to experience what he's going through.
What's their response to the plot overall? At first, not really thinking about it. But, if Jon is insisting they need to be destroyed, he'll be on that. Even if Jon is trying to keep them to himself... Once Keith knows the books have influence over people, he's more likely to believe Jon saying to destroy them than Jon trying to keep them.

Specific timing needs, or are you flexible? I'm pretty flexible, but Keith is on the exploration team until around the 13th, so nothing before then.
Prefer to discover one in the labyrinth, or get involved later? Open to either!
