"Just so everyone survives" - haha, not his prerogative. He might consider keeping anyone he finds useful alive, so long as it's to his advantage. But yeah, he is noticing the lack of "hero - villain" aspect, which makes things strange for him. Though he's one of those weird people who "just be who you wanna be" advice ends up throwing him in a void cause he has NO CLUE what he wants to be. It's always been decided for him. And now the one time he chooses who he wants to be... that reason is gone. Can't just pull the rug out from under his existence AGAIN and expect him to get back to his feet so easily. Right now, he's just taking care of "me" and that's it.
