Shouto will be collecting those luminescent balls for later use (he's going to pelt his brother with them later) so maybe they can run into each other while they gather their supplies.

Also, I was going to bring it up in their current log (haven't forgotten about it I'm just slow during weekdays!) but he lost his last engineer and needs a new one? He's got quite a few support items (equipment) that need maintenance he is wholly unqualified to maintain aside from basic needs.
