Player Name: Lexil Player's Pronouns: she/her Preferred Player Contact:LexiL (feel free to add!) or ladylazarus#2235 or PM. Monthly Pacing: I'll probably be about my usual tagging tempo in spite of the slow week I just had! I'll probably prioritize the new stuff and work towards resolving older threads since a LOT of things are moving this month, hot damn. OOC Limits: I don't think this would come up this month but pregnancy loss and infant death are tough subjects for me. I also don't want romantic stuff with characters under 18. Otherwise I'm pretty easy to plot and play with, I hope to think! Opting-Out Prompts: I'm doing it A L L.
Character Name: L Lawliet (BUT, you will know him as Lazarus Sauveterre). Character Blood Type: Paleblood Character Role: Jobless but thinking about opening a detective agency, at Shouyou's suggestion.
What CR you would like to develop for this event: I'm really just jonesing for every type of CR! I like cute stuff, spiny rivalries (especially with mutual respect), characters feeling indebted to others, mentor roles, and tough love. Since it's February I'm open to valentines type shenanigans. Open/Closed to New CR this event: Always open! What CR you want to avoid this event: I honestly can't think of anything. Because of the effects of the chocolates etc I want to say that anything goes, so long as it plays out pretty organically.
Timeline/Event Ideas:
Fated Leviathan: L is involved in this. He has a mission control type role that will keep him occupied and helpful, but mostly protect his bitty bird body from bad breakage. That being said, a lot of his positive CR will be dying in this event, leaving him with some heavy survivor's guilt, leading to...
Dreamwalking Dumbassery: Following Fated Leviathan (very end of February) L will grow obsessed with replaying the events of the battle, eat a lot of sleeping herbs, and start a dream loop to rearrange things and find out exactly what could have gone differently, who might have lived and died in different scenarios etc. Eventually his omen will kick him out of this maddening cycle to protect his deteriorating sanity, and he could end up in your character's dream (and of course, anything goes, it's a dreamscape!) Closer CR is probably more likely for this, but it could also happen completely randomly with another Sleeper who happens to be dreaming at the time. This will occupy roughly the week after Fated Leviathan and leave L a bit corrupted. Physically, he'll be OK, since the disciples will take him to the hospital for fluids and stuff after he finally wakes up, which effectively takes him from late February to early March.
Bonding Pacts: I think there are only a few people that L would do this with at this point; that being said, I'd love it for him. If you think our characters have gotten to that point with their CR hit me up and we can talk about it! If that means expediting an earlier thread we're currently playing that could lead to their relationship kind of deepening, I'm down to boomerang as well.
It Follows Impending Intimacy: I totally want to do something with this prompt. L would find it so terribly inconvenient, more so because love is a complicated and inaccessible emotion for him and often presents weirdly or unintuitively. The typical advice he gets to get rid of it might not go so well for him. I don't want to kill him just yet but close shaves are *chef's kiss*. If worse comes to worse he can always talk about his great enemy for the ages and solve his little problem that way.
Mother's Mercy: L's a deeply lonely person who doesn't see a lot of normal, nice things as within reach for him. He's quite used to depriving himself of pleasure and gentle kindnesses, and Trench has brought out the plaintive pain in denying those things even before all this blarney. His desire is largely for his desires to be valid and things he can act upon, instead of things he has to suppress, or else for the desire to just not exist at all, and he vacillates between these things depending on the day. In short I think that this particular prompt will be existentially crushing for him and add to a preexisting heavy burden on his soul, and so it's safe to say he'll be hurting himself this month in little ways that escalate. This is actually a really nice (lol) segue to the fistful of sleeping herbs he chokes down to dream for like a week straight, since that's a good pinnacle to build to. There's always honesty, but have you seen this guy's canon? It'll be a hard road to walk to get there.
The Chocolatier: Yeah this prompt was just made to be bad for L, specifically. He has a weakness, probably stemming from a neglected early childhood, for nice people telling him that it's OK to feel good. With the accompanying aura, he will accept these chocolates pretty readily and gladly and give enough blood to make him a bit wobbly on his feet for a bit. I'm open to anyone and everyone giving L any type of chocolate (heck give him a whole box and turn him into a true chaos agent) but since I love writing in verse I want someone to please give him at least an almond candy, thanks. If no one does, he'll get his OWN almond candy, that's how much I want to write in song.
