What CR you would like to develop for this event: I'm good with everything! Always up for more enemies, I love myself some negative CR. I also love it when Maul can take on a mentor or teacher role for those younger than him. But also this event is perfect for positive CR or just getting closer with CR he's only just begun or hasn't talked to in a while. Open/Closed to New CR this event: Yes! ALL THE CR ALL THE TIME! What CR you want to avoid this event: I'm good with anything, even temporary demented romantic connections since that's what this is all about.
Timeline/Event Ideas: Maul is gonna be putting himself back together after his player plot, which is still going on for at least the first week of February. After that, he's gonna be a little quiet and introspective as he makes amends with some of the people who were forced to suffer through his eight selves.
As far as thoughts go for the prompts....
Bonding Pacts: Oooooo, permanent bonding stuff like this is my JAM! I do think it would be best for Maul's longer-term CR (or at least intense shorter-term) to do stuff like this with him, as he won't be motivated to do it with people he doesn't know well yet, but I am always up for someone instead forcing a bond on him. And on that note, yes, there are a number of people, especially those he'd be interested in creating a hostile bond with, that he will try to force them on as well. Also up for permanent dark markings that stay on him, cause what's a few more when he's already got tattoos from head to.....well midsection, he's still robotic on the lower half. <.<
Impending Intimacy: So this one I am tentatively saying I am okay with Maul dying if anyone wants to do an epic thread that ends with him getting torn apart. If anyone wants to take this on, I request the timeline for it be done at the end of the month, just so he can fully get in all the insanity that the rest of the prompts have going on. Due keep in mind if anyone does a bonding pact with him and he does die, that will likely be traumatizing for both parties involved.
Mother's Mercy: So Maul is the worst at speaking honestly, especially anything about his emotions. He definitely picked up that tendency from Palpatine to dance around the truth without ever actually saying what he means. He's even like this with people he's known for a long time, and hoo boy, it's exhausting for them too. So this definitely a good prompt for those who want to learn more about him, especially any new (or newish) CR. He might feel better talking about things that are personal to him with people that he doesn't know that well tbh cause he feels they don't know enough to judge or use what they hear against him. Also I'm perfectly fine with Maul self-mutilating in this prompt, so let me know if that's not your style, and I can just leave it out if we do a thread.
The Chocolatier: Another good one for both new and old CR! I mean there's one right up there for befriending the first person he sees if you want one hell of an icebreaker. I'm honestly down for any of the chocolate effects, both the romantic, the silly, and the gross horror ones. If you do want to do it, and I will take ALL THE CR for this one, let me know which one specifically you want to do so we can figure out how things might go.
