[There's a distance between them and Lance can't help but cross his arms over his middle in a way that looks more like he's hugging himself than anything else. He's pretty sure it's going to slowly drive him mad right now that he can see how much Keith is frustrated and bothered that he doesn't understand, but… be so hindered by himself that he can't help him completely.

He's trying his best, but he's painfully aware that his best isn't good enough. It never has been in just about everything he's ever tried to do, and it's always hurt, but now he has the added pain of loss and the mocking torture of that loss sitting right in front of him unaware.

He lets out a huff of breath and looks down, clenching his jaw for a moment against how much he wishes he could say yes to that question.]
