[ Kainé laughs wearily at the girl's enthusiasm. It's the sort of gallows humor she often takes refuge in. Without the warmth of hope, the bitter broth of cynicism sustained her for much of her life. Normally she'd find it uproariously funny, but right now she's not quite in the mood to feel much of anything. ]
