[Now that things had settled down a bit (maybe?), a Waker happened by and handed Keith a blanket. He murmured his thanks as Lance answered about how long he'd been there already.
That made sense. It also explained a lot... because a lot can happen in three years. They'd discovered that back home, after all, with everything that had changed in the three year time slippage that happened after their reality jumping fight with Lotor. The whole direction of the war had changed in those three years they'd been gone. And, no, Keith didn't know details, but he definitely got the gist that Bad Things (TM) had happened to Lance. And now he was changed.
He used the blanket to wipe off as much of the remaining goo as he could, and then shifted to slide his arms completely into the sleeves of Lance's coat. It wasn't that he was cold. In fact, the coat felt too warm. But it definitely offered more coverage than the robe that had been in the pack. And, frankly, he didn't need everyone on the beach seeing his junk anymore than they probably already had.]
Three years... [He repeated it more just to stick it in his head than anything else.] And from back home? What's the last thing that happened for you? [Alternate universe, alternate reality... so, at this point in his life, Keith was totally willing to accept and even ask about the idea of an alternate timeline. He just... needed to be sure. What did Lance know?]
