Paul is currently about 100% weak spot, so here's some stuff that would be readily obvious: almost everyone he knows, including his father, died about three-ish weeks ago and he hasn't actually told anyone that yet because he's refusing to deal with it despite repeatedly living through memories involving those people in this month's event. He's terrified of something he thinks is stalking him in Trench, although he doesn't know what it is. He's very tired and also very scared, in general. (If Loki were to look very deep, he might see Paul's growing prescient awareness, aka ability to see the future, which probably has the inviting vibes of a nuclear waste site, a haunted graveyard, and a 'dead dove do not eat' sign.)
